Thank you for all your suggestions and kind words of praise. We are thrilled that so many of you have taken the time to express your love for MapleStory! We can?t thank you enough for your support.
I must admit that we have found the massive interest in MapleStory a bit overwhelming. With just word of mouth alone, we have grown to numbers comparable to some of the biggest MMOs out there!
That being said, we want you to know that we have been listening. You have asked for many things and we have heard you loud and clear! In response to your requests, and the increasing popularity of MapleStory, I am here to announce that we have committed to providing the best MapleStory experience possible..
Over the last few weeks, we have been rapidly increasing staff, training and developing new tools to better service our wonderful community of players.
Look for more details to come; but for now, here is a quick taste of what is in the works.

However, for others, it means an end. It means an end to hacking, and end to community standards violations and end to our tolerance for those who wish to disrupt your gaming experience. Examples are going to be made, and it will be noticeable.
Today marks the first of many announcements to come. Some of these announcements will blow your socks off, and many will surely raise some eyebrows. Today is the beginning of a new MapleStory. Your MapleStory!

Below is the overview of what's in store for you:

- Thanksgiving is a time for our players to spend quality time with their beloved families. To help celebrate this holiday, MapleStory invites you to our Thanksgiving!
- Take Yellow or Green Turkey Eggs to Cody and receive either potions or a Miniature Turkey Pet! If you are level 30 and below, take Yellow Turkey Eggs to Cody. If you are above level 30, take Green Turkey Eggs! Good luck hunting!
- Gather pie crusts, pumpkins, flour, and powder sugar to bake your very own pumpkin pies. You'll need to be over level 15 to bake these pies for Thanksgiving
- Gather the most pumpkin pies baked and save them up for your guild. The top 10 guilds who gather the most pumpkin pies will receive Maple Points ranging from 30,000 to 10,000!
- Turkeys will drop five rare Thanksgiving items! Pick up these items and enjoy using them in MapleStory. Turkeys will drop MapleHontas headpieces, corn, roasted turkeys, pilgrim hats, and chief axes. Each of these items will help you in mysterious ways! See if you can grab them all!
- Monsters will drop 10 alphabets that spell MapleStory. If you collect all 10 of these letters, you will have a chance to win Maple Points ranging from 100,000 to 10,000. Take these letters to the Administrator NPC in Henesys and try to win some Maple Points!

MTV NETWORKS AND NEXON ANNOUNCE UNPRECEDENTED GLOBAL ONLINE GAMING PARTNERSHIP
Strategic Relationship Will Expand Worldwide Neopets Online User Experience to Include Sale of Premium Virtual Items
Will Introduce via MTVN's TV & Digital Brands, Nexon's Online Game Titles To Audiences Across North America, Including the Phenomenon ?Kart Rider?
SEOUL/LOS ANGELES, November 9, 2006 – In an initiative that brings together two of the world?s leading entertainment and gaming companies, MTV Networks and international game publisher Nexon have announced a broad based strategic partnership. The companies will partner to create a new premium user experience for MTVN'S Neopets, one of the largest youth communities on the internet, and includes MTVN's marketing of the launch of Nexon's casual MMOG game titles in North America via its portfolio of television and online brands. Two of the first titles to be marketed under the alliance will be ?MapleStory? and ?Kart Rider? which are already enjoyed by 50 million and 80 million players around the world, respectively. The announcement was made in Seoul today at the GSTAR 2006 Gameshow by Stephen Youngwood, Executive Vice President, Digital Media, MTVN Kids and Family Group and Nexon Japan CEO David Lee.
Nexon and Neopets will partner to create a new user experience for MTVN?s Neopets in North America and territories throughout Asia and Europe. This new service will enhance the current Neopets world, known as Neopia, by providing users the ability to purchase premium level virtual items for customization and personalization, in addition to those currently available on the site. Nexon will also provide marketing and promotional support in Asia across its games portal for the new Neopets services.
MTVN will also become a strategic marketing partner for the launch of Nexon?s first three games to be distributed in North America. Marketing campaigns will be run across a portfolio of MTVN television and online brands including MTV, MTV2, MTV U, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, The-N, Neopets.com, Shockwave.com, Addictinggames.com, Gametrailers.com and XFire. The marketing partnership will include Nexon?s ?Maple Story,? ?Audition? and ?Kart Rider? titles. The partnership will also present opportunities for Nexon to create and develop MTV Networks? branded items within their games.

Greetings Maplers,
In a recent announcement, we stated that we will be taking a much harder approach to hacking and other forms of game abuse. We promised that we will no longer be tolerating hacking in any form. We stated that our hacking detection has been increased and our GM presence would be much greater. As many have noticed, we have kept our word. Every day as many as 500 accounts are banned for hacking, spamming, foul language or various other terms of service violations.
Many have seen their individual ranks have increased as those players who choose not to follow the rules get their accounts closed permanently. We have received many emails of praise thanking us for taking such a hard stance on these players who have no respect for the rules or other players around them. We thank those of you who have taken the time to help to improve MapleStory by reporting these violators. However, many of you are still not satisfied. We agree 100%.
There are those violators that hide. Those that think if nobody sees them, they won?t get caught. They are wrong.
Silently we have been monitoring. We have been waiting, watching and recording accounts that have been detected as hacking. Not just by reports, but by our internal hacking detection systems. Today marks the day the first wave of these accounts has been terminated.
If you hack, you will be banned.
