they headed back up to the pier and to the car, she unlocked the doors and waited for him to get in before heading home

when they reached her house the lights were on and you could see her dad asleep infront of the TV

she smiled and grabbed her bags from the back seat. She got out and headed for her front door. once she got in she was ambushed by her mom
"where have you been? why didn't you call?"
"mom, we went out to get a our things for prom then we went to dinner, you know... a little de-stressing after finals and stuff"
