SNOWCLAN!!!!

"Really, I'm free!?!" Sorrelkit yowled happly while she jumped around, and raced off to - once again - no where in particular. After a few minutes, she sat down and began twitching her tail. Well, that was unexpected. She thought. Oh well!

Bearpaw slowly opened eyes and sat up. Giving herself a quick grooming, she walked out side the apprentice den, excited to see a fresh new layer of snow had arrived. Fox suddenly hit her nose. Is it still here? she asked herself. Better go make it leaveshe trotted towards the scent, and she soon found herself face to face with a fox at the entrance. It was a small fox, big enough to be a mother, but a small one no doubt. "No, your kit isn't here." she told it, but the mother just snarled, not being able to understand her. Bearpaw fluffed herself up to look twice as big, and let out a threatening hiss. The fox slowly began to back away. Bearpaw then took a step forward and it stalked off. Slowly she let the fur die down, Well that was a close one

Crystalstar heard a hiss come from the enterence, she saw Bearpaw and walked over. "Bearpaw, whats a matter?"

"Huh?" she turned around to see Crystalstar. "Oh, I think that was the mother of the fox kit... but I drove it off." Bearpaw mewed with a hint of pride in her voice.

"What?" Crystalstar said, "We'll have to drive it out." Suddenly she remembered Sandstripe out in the forest all alone. "Sandstripe, she out there all alone, we have to go make sure she's safe." She ran out of the camp, Bearpaw hard on her paws.

Bearpaw folowed her leader throught the territory.

Sandstripe watched as a rabbit hopped out of its burrow, she crouched and was about to leap when the stronge smell of fox overwelmed her. The rabbit ran back inside its burrow, a growl came from behind the white she-cat. Sandstripe turned sharply and stared into the face of a fox. She hissed and fluffed her fur out, but the fox didn't back down. It growled and leaped onto of Sandstripe.
Letting out a battle cry she clawed the foxes side, it ignored her claws and snapped at one of her ears. She let out a yowl of pain as the fox held on and then pulled off. Sandstripes ear tore, blood soked it. She pushed the fox off of her with her hind paw and watch it go flying.
Suddenly another yowl came from Sandstripe's side, and Crystalstar appeared with Bearpaw.

"Sandstripe, are you ok?" she asked, running up to the she-cat.

Crystalstar ran over to Sandstripe, "Are you okay?" She asked, but before Sandstripe could awnser a deep growl came form in front of them. "Bearpaw, just try to stay away from its teeth." She whispered to the black and white apprentice and ran toward the fox.
Sandstripe ran with her mother , but reared off trying to get on the side of the fox. Crystalstar clawed the foxes mussel and then dodged over to its side.

Using one of the tricks Bearpaw had learned in training, she jumped ontop of the fox and leaned to the side. It fell over. Swiftly, she clawed it's belly.

The fox shoke the cats off and ran away, tail between its legs. "It'll be back, as long as the kit is in our territory it won't give up." She breathed and walked over to Bearpaw. "Good job," She meowed and looked over to Sandstripe. "We better get that ear looked at, are you hurt anywhere else?"
Sandstripe shook her head and they walked back to camp.

Bearpaw purred at the praise, and padded back to camp with them.

Featherheart woke up and crawled out of the warrior's den to stretch her muscles in the sunlight. Crystalstar, Sandstripe and Bearpaw came into camp with Sandstripe's ear stained in blood. Featherheart rushed over.

"Are you all okay?" She asked, concerned.

Sorrelkit was wandering around the camp when Crystalstar, Sandstripe, and Bearpaw came back.

Sorrelkit heard Featherheart say, "Are you okay?" and decided to take a closer look. Blood covered the torn part of one of Sandstripe's ears. A battle must have taken place. Did that fox come back?
She walked over to Crystalstar and asked, "What just happened? Can I help?"

"We're all fine," Crystalstar meowed to Featherwing and Sorrelkit. "The mother of that fox came by, but we scared it off for now." She looked at Sandstripe then at Bearpaw. "Sandstripe, go get that ear looked at."
Sandstripe nodded and headed over to Skyear's den. "Bearpaw, you can go get something to eat, you fought like a warrior today."
