Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Alex looked down for a moment. "No... I didn't." He shook his head. "I guess now would be as good as time as any though."

Eva nodded and put their empty plates in the sink. She sat down and waited for him to say something. After all, they were talking about the person who almost separated the two of them. Eva rubbed her stomach and looked down.

"Let's get this over with." Alex sighed and picked up the phone. He dialed the number and waited for her to answer.

Eva looked up at Alex, finally. "I'll be right here." She told him and smiled.

Angela was back at home at her couch. She turned it off and picked up the phone. "Hello?" She said into the receiver.

Alex was quiet for a moment and gave a small nod to Eva. "Hey Angela... It's Alex." He took a breath. "I called to ask about the test."

Angela sighed and closed her eyes as she rested her head on the couch. "The baby was never yours Alex. I knew who the father was in the beginning. I just wanted the baby to have a father."

Eva sat in her seat and froze as they talked. In her mind, her worst fear would come true. The baby would be his and he would leave Eva and never come back. Once again, she looked down and rubbed her stomach as she thought of Amelia.

"So then you just made it all up?" Alex said trying to stay calm."

Eva looked up at Alex's words. Riley stiffened in the corner as she watched everything.

"Yes, Alex." Angela sighed. "I made it all up. I'm sorry I caused you and Eva problems."

Alex took a breath. "What's done is done Angela. I hope everything works out for you... Goodbye."

Eva was furious. "So she made the whole thing up?!" She stood up and began to pace. "I should hunt her down and kill her." Riley sat in the corner just watching everything. "How could she do that to us?"

Alex nodded slowly. "Eva honey calm down. I'm not sure why she did it, and I'm just as pissed as you are." He said quietly.

Eva continued to pace back and forth. "She nearly destroyed us, Alex. I was horrible without you and you were the same. Because of her I assumed the worst out of you." Eva sat down next to Alex and rested her head on his shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry. I'm just upset that someone would try and break us apart." She looked up at the time and sighed. "I guess you better get going back to work, huh?"

Alex nodded once more. "I know what she did. And she said something about a good father. I guess she was just wanted her baby to have a good father." He shrugged. "And I'll stay here if you need me too."

Eva sighed and shook her head. "No, it's ok. You should go. If I were you I'd want to go fix something. I want to fix something right now but it's not good for our child." She smiled and rubbed her stomach. "You just have a good day and I'll see you when you get home." She quickly kissed him and started to clean some of the stuff up.

Alex smiled and kissed her back. "I'll be back before you know it." He said softly and headed back to the shop. Once there he immediatly started working on a bike.
