*barely making it out the club, she hauls it to her rental and peels out, heading back to the bar. Unprepared for what happened tonight, she holds it together and takes one of the five routes she planned and scouted out to the bar. After she satisfied herself that she wasn't being followed, she loosens her grip on the steering wheel and mentally scolds herself.
How in the hell did I not see him before he made it to the VIP doors? If he had made me, I'd be dead right now! That little b*****d claimed his brother never liked to come to the club with him. What the hell changed his mind tonight? She then remembers him telling her that he'd mentioned me to his brother. That he'd found a "diamond in the rough."
Stomach roiling at that, she sneers and scrunches her nose up, as if she smelled something foul. Shaking her head, she knows they'll be questions of her disappearance. But luckily she covered such bases. The manager knows that if ever questioned about her, he's to give as little as possible, what with her being "new" and all. Plus, if he even thought of screwing her over just to save his own neck, she got enough dirt on him to have him thrown under the jail.
Coming to her usual block, something doesn't feel right. One too many cars are parked on the left side, which is unusual for this time of night. Not slowing down, she rolls through, using her peripheral to spy in the unidentified car. Tinted windows, should have known. Once she reaches the stop sign, she takes a left and heads to her secondary parking spot, which is eight blocks away. Damn, and on the day I leave my easy walkers by the door.
Rolling her eyes, she gets out, knowing to anyone else as a glance and a double take, she doesn't look herself. If you didn't know her on a personal basis, she could walk right by you without you being the wiser. Finally, she makes it to the bar. For the second time, she's lucky no one is in it. She heads behind the bar and grabs a bottle of Hennessey, then thinks better of it.
Placing it back, she heads to the office, through the passageway and down the stairs, through the corridor to her door. Inside, she puts a pot of water on for tea and changes clothes, grabbing a pen and paper to write down tonights events while still fresh in her memory*
