James tossed his head indignantly. "Exactly, Moony. Let it be a lesson. You're lucky I'm not a natural stag. Otherwise, you would probably be dead."

Sirius was surprised. "Being in your wolf form really changes you, Love. The Remus I know would never try to cheat in such a petty race."

"Yeah right. I would have taken you down if you were just a stag." Remus pouted when Sirius pointed out that he wasn't acting himself. "I was just trying to have some fun. You always tell me to lighten up."

James snorted, but dropped the matter. "What do you guys want to do now? I'm bored."

Sirius trotted over to Remus and licked his face. "It's okay, Luvvie. I still love you."

Remus smiled and licked him back. "Well I don't know about you two but, I need to get back so I can do my homework."

James rolled his eyes. "Of course you do. Alright. Let's go." He slowly transformed back, grunting at the pain.

Sirius grinned as he transformed back, too. "Let's go, Luvvie. You have to finish that homework." There was no trace of teasing in his voice. "But I do want to come back out and play again."

Remus transformed back too. "Ok we'll come out later and play." He kissed Sirius. "James do you need me to heal your back for you?"

James shook his head. "It's not that bad.. Is it? I think it just startled me more than anything."

Remus looked at it. "No it looks fine." Remus took Sirius' hand as they walked back.

James folded his hands behind his head. "You guys go on ahead and do what you want. I'm going to find Lily and talk to her some more. I need to apologize for someone's too forward behaviour." He shot a look at Sirius and grinned, shaking his head.

"I'm not sorry for it either," Sirius defended himself. "It's the only way to kiss a girl, really, and not get in trouble." He grinned at James.

Remus crossed his arms and looked at Sirius. "So you want to kiss girl? And who said you're not in trouble?"

"Of course I don't want to kiss girls, Remy-love. I really only did it to piss James off." He gave Remus an apologetic, sheepish look. "I'm really sorry, Remy-luvvie."

"You better." He smiled and gave Sirius a kiss.

Sirius smiled, glad that it hadn't taken too much apologizing to get Remus to forgive him.

James rolled his eyes, deciding it was too much energy to get angry again. Instead, he found Lily. "Hey. I'm sorry about Padfoot. He gets overly excited to piss me off sometimes," he apologized.

Remus walked with him up to the library so they could do their homework.

"it's fine James. Doggy kisses are not the same as people kisses."

"Not when that dog happens to be an animagus or Sirius Black," James muttered darkly. "I swear, the next time I get a chance, I will throttle him for it, too."
