Coming out about Yaoi

I will NEVER come out to my parents. They would go insane and say things like "Why do you like that porno crap?!" The few people I talk to they know I like yaoi. Most girls that watch anime in our school read yaoi and BL so telling them was no big deal.

As far as I know the only person who knows that I even think about shonen-ai is my eldest sister-poor dear decided to look through my sketch book without asking-though I have a sneeking suspicion that my dad knows, he just doesn't say anything. However, my friends-or at least the majority of them-know and either don't care or try to get me to read yaoi. It wasn't really so much of a "coming out" ordeal as something that would come into conversation on occasion.

EDIT: Though one of my friend's who's of the "If-you-like-watching-gay-guys-then-you're-homosexual" persuasion had a bit of a hard time accepting it. I just told her to see the uke as a girl.

Around my friends, I really wasn't that secretive about like yaoi because they liked yaoi themselves. They were the ones who got me hooked on it. However, I keep it secret from my family. Some of them are open minded but not all of them.

I'm very open about it. XD Hell I even buy it with my mom standing in the same comic book store. That's a funfun experience.

Everyone knows about my love of Yaoi, it's written all over my binder at school! Very few know what it means, but many of those who do think it's awesome, I think Shounen-ai is adorable!

I only really talk about it with my friends who like it as well. I just don't talk about it otherwise. Most of my friends would be okay with it and I think my mom would probably be alright with it. I'm just kind of embarrassed about it. So I haven't really come out yet razz

I talk about it with my circle of friends, who also like it.
But some of my other friends, I briefly explain I like it, and I can usually tell if they are uncomforted by it. In that case, I try to never bring it up around them.
My family, does not know.
I don't think it would offend them so much, because we are all pretty liberal and accept people, but they would probably just think I was really weird. xD
My dad would be creeped out though. He gets annoyed when he sees the judges abd stuff on America's Next Top Model and he'll say,
"Are all those guys gay?!" in this weird tone. He's not a homophobe, but I dun think he likes it very much. xD

I was really secretive about it around my family, but all my friends knew. But a string of events lead my mother and little sister to know about it. My sister is like, "ew," but doesn't really care. My mom says she doesn't care because she knows I don't like being treated like a child. She's very open-minded. I don't think she's as into it as I am, but she does enjoy the shonen-ai aspect of NarutoxGaara, as I found out one day... O.O

Funny story: I went over to an older friend's house, and she has yaoi, and she told my mom we were going to watch it. So on the drive there, she was like, "So what's this anime about gay guys?" And I was like, "I don't knoww, mom, I don't know..." And then she dropped it. She doesn't even care that I watch gay anime porn at my age! That's frickin' awesome!

As for my grandma and step-father, the other family members I live with, I don't know. My grandmother might not approve, being the old lady that she is, but why would that stop me? I don't know if my step-dad already knows and is keeping quiet about it or if he doesn't, but I'm fine with it.

Heh, I really have no problems with how I do things. I only found out how much I love yaoi by joining guilds like these last year, reading Our Kingdom, and hanging around one of my best friends(she's totally hooked, it almost scared me, since well, ppl eye others in wierd ways*cough*). I couldn't care less though if any1 found out that I loved yaoi. Only six ppl know how much I do, and only one of them dislikes the fact, but well......he'll get over it^^ I'll hold out on telling my mom though, she's sort of on the against part of it(it's funny listening to her)

Watching yaoi, only two people know about it.

One person is my best friend. I admitted I liked Yuri one day, and she admitted she liked Yaoi. Then I told her I liked both. I still like Yuri more...sorry guys.

The other is my sister. We were home alone in the house after school. She dragged me to the computer and played "drunk ningas" (it has gay humor).

Me: Don't show this to mom and dad. s**t, they are coming. *exit the window*

sister: Why did you do that? It was funny.

Me: It has yaoi pictures at the end.

sister: What is yaoi?

me: Two gay guys making out.

sister: So that is what it's called. Sasuke is so gay!

From that moment on, I saw Naruto/Sasuke videos on my sisters computer. I think it was because she didn't like Sakura much. Then we watched Spiral together and picked out the pairings from that. I'm not going to show her real stuff. When I first found out, she was 10. Now she is 11, and not in middle school yet. No, I am not going to show the real yaoi to her until she is thirteen and interested.

Most people I know like yaoi and know that I enjoy it so it's no big deal. On the other hand when it comes to my mother I don't mention it. She's the type of parent that has a big problem with manga/anime in general (like racist) against it. So I don't even bother mentioning it to her.

No, I haven't TOLD any of my fam I like it. But my boyfriend knows I am a yaoi addict - as in the PRON kind. He just laughs it off and pokes me for it, and then I pick on him for liking whatever things he looks at in his freetime...

I live with my grandparents. My grandma would threaten to take my laptop away. My aunt would laugh and poke fun that I like gay porn and my pap would stare and say (while sitting in his underwear) "what the ******** is that s**t!?".
Then my aunt would continue to laugh, histerically in fact.
