I haven't read it in forever, but I remember it's an old 60's novel set back in the greaser era that features a rivalry between different gangs in society. Oh yeah, and Johnny stabbed a man and got his back snapped. That's all I remember.

I'm strangely reminded of some T-Shirts I saw in my high school a while back that had "Stay Gold, Ponyboy" written on them. It all came back...Good book. Considering it was written by a girl in her late teens, it boosts my confidence that as a sixteen-year-old I may be on to something.

Yeah. I've heard unless you're a really consistent author who writes "good" (the reason I put that in quotes is because "good" is subjective among different tastes) stuff, you shouldn't do it for money.

Which means that for me, the question remains as to what the heck I should do to pay the bills while I'm writing. ninja
