Polaris sighed and pressed his fingers to his forehead for a moment. His face went back to being cold and emotionless the effort to great to keep his mask on at the moment. He slowly went through all this options and every outcome trying to reach a logical decision. He finally decided to stay till the captain explained everything to him then leave if the reward was not great enough. "Well..boy..I have no idea what the captain wants me to do with you..lets just get you back to your home and out of harms way I suppose." he said his voice back to his usually monotone.

No...please... Abrecan pushed himself onto his knees gasping at the sharp ache in his shoulder blades. They can't see me like this; I won't let them! There was a sudden blinding flash of light and when it faded the wings were gone. The red haired man was left hunched over and breathing hard surrounded by a mess of feathers. Wincing, the man got to his feet and shook the wet hair out of his eyes. These have to go.

"I have no home to go to." he responded, watching the captain take off absently. His dark eyes radiating an obscured emotion, Liam turned his face away--before speaking gently, "Humans..are just as equal as non-humans..so don't look down to me, you have no right to." Turning his face back to the other there, he narrowed his gaze, his teeth clenched tightly. He felt his anger soar, and instantly felt his mind beginning to repress it. Liam had a raging anger buried within him--too used to being treated as something below most life forms.

Polaris sighed as he grabbed the boy by the waist and rode a wave back to the point. "Captain...he has no home..I'm letting him stay on the boat." he called out. He searched for the half breed going into the hull. "Its..alright...you can come out..we arn't going to judge you...for goddess' sake we are far stranger then you are." he said in the same monotone. "You're behavior is irrational the captain sees you as a brother..I see as an asset just come out."

Abrecan stepped out of the shadows the tattered remain of his shirt hanging off him. Looking stonily back at the ice mage he said "Don't speak of things you don't understand" before passing him by in the direction of the cabins. How could they understand? He wasn't like them. He'd been created, not born. Humans had done this to him, made him like this. He'd been kept as a pet, put on display, and practically taken apart. There was now way they could possibly comprehend his situation.

Polaris grabbed him by the arm his hand incased in ice as marking appeared on his face. "Never...Ever act like I don't understand! You didn't ever bother to try...or wonder how my life might of been! Do you think you are the only one who has suffered..I'm human..do you think humans are supposed to be like this! Do you think this is normal..that I was born this way! Well it isn't and I wasn't..and I do understand." his eyes flashed blue and it felt like the boat shook suddenly a look of anger on his face real anger not faked. He quickly released his arm and pushed him aside storming a head of him and shutting himself into a cabin.

"BACK OFF! BOTH OF YOU!" Nefreous landed with a thud on the deck as he got between the two. "Polaris, thank you, but I can handle him. Take care of the green horn." He added as he placed a hand on the half breed's back, his eyes resting on the boy. After givng the orders he smiled as he pulled the boy along with him. "Why do you hide from it?" He turned the man twords him and lightly ran a few fingers through Abrecan's hair.

Abrecan felt a foriegn sense of guilt wash over him. He'd had no right to say those things to Polaris who was only trying to help. Of course he knew he wasn't the only one to suffer in these hard times, but he just felt so alone.
Shaking his head a low growl rose in his throat; it wasn't like him to experience so many weak moments in one day. He tensed slightly when the captain touched him, but did not pull away. Looking up to meet his eyes he felt the guilt seep in again and dropped his gaze.
So stupid... why should these two make me feel like this? "If it's all right with you, Captain, I'd rather not discuss it."

Polaris actually ignored the order and shut himself into a room. He wasn't going to listen, not right now. He sat down and closed his eyes tightly and breathed. It was seldom he felt anything but when an emotion did rise to the surface it burst forth strong. He stayed there breathing for a while before he regained his compsure and went back outside. He went over to the boy he had brought with him. "Well...if you if have no home..it seems you are going to come with us...if you wish..I mean you have nothing to lose." he stated his voice back to normal now.

"All the advice I can offer is that you should not run from what you are. If you don't understand it then I can teach you. I can show you how to use the power that you have and control it." His hand moved to lightly brush the half breed's hair, his own eyes locked onto the man that was close to what he was.
"Polairs, who's the new kid?" Loki was sitting closed to them, his eyes full of wisdom and yet lies all at the same time.

Polaris rubbed his forehead still looking upst from before. "A stray." he said rather coldly. "Some people...are just..so irratating." he muttured. "I should a bit too much of myself..there will be questions about this."

"Do not speak of me as if I'm an animal." he growled, narrowing his eyes further at the Ice Mage. "I have a name, as well as a place here, among you. I have my own issues as well, and do not think of me as merely a nuisance." his voice had grown cold and gloomy as he spoke in response, already feeling more of an outside than he had on the island. Grinding his teeth in seething anger, Liam moved over to the side of the ship, looking out onto the sea's dark waters. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took in a few deep breaths, the muscles in his body tightening. His anger was always something difficult to control, and had always been ever since he was abandoned.

Polaris stared out at the sea. "Sorry..not the right one to talk to...the captain likes you..he is the one you can get kind words from..oh and that man over there is Loki a god..." his seemed to relax all the emotion vanishing from his face. "The mask is just taxing..I don't feel like pretending I'm capable of caring right now."

Abrecan hesitated than nodded slowly. "Thank you sir. ... I think I'm going to go find Polaris now." He needed to apologize. This apathy of his seemed only to make things worse and he'd used to to hurt someone who'd only been trying to help.
Stepping back from Nefreous he turned and headed back to the deck. The captain brought out a strange feeling he didn't understand. It unnerved him. He saw the ice mage standing a few yards away and approched him cautiously. "Polaris."

Polaris looked at him. "Don't apologize..I'm fine now...it was just an outburst..emotion are tedious things. You think you have them locked up tight and something sets you off and there they are again. I just had to freeze all the feeling away the ice is thicker now it shouldn't happen again but I suppose you should be careful to not hits nerves like that." His cold blue eyes stared into him. "And..now..I'll have to tell everyone the truth..I intended to logically its fair if you tell the truth, and the captain tells the truth, I will tell the truth as well."
