Survive an Avalanche
Name: Leeroi Furore
Round: 6
Leeroi pushed and pushed, until his body could no longer hold out. Eventually he just laid there, in a huddle pile, too tired and too cold to continue digging. He had read about what to do in an avalanche somewhere before. Maybe Hemera had told him, or his lusus? He couldn't remember much of it now, so it was probably the latter.
He had to... concentrate on his breathing. Not panic, but that wasn't a problem for him. If he could just knock himself out right now, that would be ideal. The cold wouldn't hurt if he wasn't awake.
He tried to think of boring things. Hemera? No. That one didn't work anymore. He wished she was here. It kind of felt like it, being enveloped by all of this ice. Maybe that's why it didn't bug him much. He was conditioned to like this feeling. The feeling of her hugs? The feeling of cold metal, of playing in the snow? How could he not love those things?
So, he counted backwards and thought about little gerbils taking naps, boring television, and eventually his eyes felt heavy. Slowly and almost comfortably, he blacked out in that little patch of snow.
