The princess gave a small, sheepish smile at the older gentleman's compliment, seeming to relax as she put away the rest of the surgical instruments in their proper place. "Thank you, Angelo." Rei answered as she finished the task. Turning around, she noticed Kagami had already begun to get tired due to the medicine he was given earlier that day. "Why don't we let him rest." she suggested calmly, keeping her voice low so she wouldn't wake the young teenager. Rei didn't want to bother the boy any further, knowing he needed time to relax and get well from his injuries.

Angelo noticed it as well then nodded, standing up. "I'll come visit you again." he said softly to the teen as he watched him start to fall into sleep. He smiled at the sight, mentally making a note to bring a few books for the boy to read as he knew it for kind of boring being laid up in a hospital for a long period of time. He patted the boy on the head once more before heading over to Rei and stood by her side. "So, what now my lady?" he asked polietly.

The princess took out a navy blue scroll from her pocket labeled as her schedule written in the Drow elf language, opening it to check things over. She marked the names of the patients she'd finished tending to, realizing there were still some left. Her gaze shifted back towards the older gentleman after a few moments. "I think today will be quite a long one. There are two people who came out of surgery earlier today. One lady for knee replacement on floor one, room seven, and an elderly gentleman for a shoulder injury, floor one, room twelve. Both may need their bandages replaced." she explained. Rei used the map of the hospital on the wall to point out the rooms and floor that each patient was on, thinking perhaps this was the best way she could think of to teach him the layout of the building. "I'll be in the therapy room which is down the left hall near the main entrance, first door on the right." Rei concluded, pointing to the area on the map for last.

Angelo rubbed his face and hummed. He was used to long days. Even longer nights until he was cursed that is. Now he can't be out on a full moon as moonlight triggers the transformation. "Hmm. How about I take the elderly gentleman and you the woman?" he asked after a minute of thinking about it. "Or is that too forward of me?" he added, a frown appearing on his face.

Princess Rei managed to give a small, timid smile as she put away the schedule back into her pocket. "Not at all. Go on ahead." she answered him calmly. When she noticed the time, it seemed as though it were nearly noon according to the sun's position in the sky outside. Rei walked with Angelo on through the hall, heading downstairs to the main floor. "Sometimes I wish none of us were stuck with a curse." she added calmly, turning down the left hallway. The hospital seemed rather silent, except for the rest of the staff on duty who were walking here and there.

Angelo nodded. "Okay, then." he replied with a smile of his own as he followed the other down the hall. "Yeah. It sucks really but we all have to bear it no matter how.much we don't want to." he added after a minute of thinking. "Who knows. Maybe something good will happen from all of this." he finished, placing his hands in his pockets as they continued to walk.

"That would be nice, whatever it may be." Rei replied with a nod in agreement. While they headed on through the hall, she went through both sets of double doors towards the other rooms. It didn't take long before the princess stopped by the room where the elderly gentleman had been placed. "I never imagined I'd be in such a position. Helping out a new staff member of a hospital that is." Princess Rei mused observantly. She checked her schedule one last time to make sure this had been the right room that she was at, then closed the scroll once more.

Angelo just smiled at her. "And I never thought I'd meet a princess, let alone royalty." he replied with a soft laugh so as not to disturb the patient. "And thanks for showing me around by the way. I appreciate it." He added with a bow to the other before straightening himself with another smile at Rei. "I'll get to changing the bandages right away. See you soon." He he said as he headed into the gentlemen's room.]/color]

When Rei watched Angelo leave to the patient room, she couldn't help but smile a little at his remark. Turning on her heels, she left to the room a few doors down to attend the woman with the knee replacement. Time went by rather quickly the rest of the day as the princess kept busy with the patients. She made sure to lend Angelo some assistance whenever he needed it, which she didn't seem to mind. Eventually, Rei had spent the rest of the evening assisting a few surgeons in the E.R.

Angelo cautiously approached the man, smiling softly to put him at ease. He told him what he was here to do and the man nodded. Angelo quickly got what he needed from the nearby cabinet before setting out to reapply the bandages. He hemmed in sympathy when he saw the scar and felt for the man while he listened to said man talk about his younger years and that he was a very pretty lady. He paused at that before letting it go. It would be the first time he had been mistaken for a woman. And it most likely wouldn't be the last. After that he left the man to sleep before heading back down to the front desk. Man, was it evening already?

As the princess exited the E.R., she walked slowly past several patient rooms that were occupied. It was evident from her expression that she was quite worn out, her face a ghostly pale from not feeding in the past several days. Rei stopped nearly half way down the hall and reached into her pocket. She pulled out a small glass vial of what one would guess to be medicine, removed the cork and drank the contents.; The effects seemed to kick in immediately, returning the color to her face. Rei then placed the empty vial back into her pocket, using a clean napkin from off the nearby desk to wipe the remnants from her face, then threw it away into the nearest trash bin. The princess soon continued walking, deciding to take a seat in one of the empty chairs in the waiting room to rest a while. it had indeed been a very busy day by far, though she guessed Angelo must have been busy with the rest of his duties at this point.

Angelo had taken a seat behind the front desk, head resting on his arms. Man, he was tired but It was a good.tired and he wouldn't trade it for anything. He then noticed Rei and called out to her. "Miss Rei. How was everything?" he asked, lifting his head slightly to look at her. She seemed tired but then again, she has been working for.most of the day, so he understood.

When she heard a familiar voice, Rei turned her head in the direction of the front desk. Sure enough, it was only Angelo. "Good, long and very exhausting!" Princess Rei answered him honestly. Truly it had been a while since she had a break from her duties as a physician, though she had no idea what she wanted to do for the moment besides sit a while and rest. Rei didn't mind the peace and quiet, even though there weren't many patients that day. Especially within the waiting room, there had been a few, to which were left to the other nurses to attend.

Angelo snorted in response. "You are preaching to the choir over here." he said after minute, fighting back a yawn. He could tell that the woman tired. "Hey. You want some yea? May help.keep you awake a bit longer?" he asked, reaching into his bag to pull out a blue and white thermos and holding it up so Rei could get a better look at it. He waited patiently to see if she wanted some of not.

The princess smiled wearily, nodding in agreement when she heard Angelo offer her some tea. She stood from the chair and walked on over, resting her arms on the desk counter. "Most times I can handle doing all day shifts. Although not very often." Rei spoke calmly, glancing at the nearby clock on the wall. Her gaze returned to look back at her coworker, patient as ever. It had indeed been quite a day tending to the patients on her own roster.
