Ilene was thrilled to have made first string, but this was her first game on the team, and she was more than a bit nervous. But so far, her giddiness was overriding her nerves. She just hoped that lasted throughout the game; her worst fear was it dragging on forever and her cracking under the pressure. Hufflepuff was counting on her; they were a pretty young team this year, after so many senior players had graduated.

spaceSher joined his teammates out on the pitch for the first game of the year. He was hoping to do well, but those hopes weren't very high. He didn't exactly have a history of being exceptionally good at the sport. At this point, it was more trying to channel Chrys and Finny's stubbornness and... nerve, or something, not wanting to back down from something. He was never going to go pro or anything (had never even considered it, Merlin), but he could at least stick this out until he graduated. And hopefully not be the cause of his own team's downfall. Especially considering Laili was way too nice to boot him if he did ruin everything for everyone.

spaceCharley made her way out onto the pitch with a slight scowl on her face. Partially because it was her default expression, and partially because she was pretty sure her team was about to get their arses handed to them. Not for nothing, but she was one of the senior members, and she was only a fourth year. That didn't bode well. But, it wasn't like she could magically make better, more experienced players appear out of thin air. The best she could do was try to take out the opposing seeker. Edgar was good, she supposed, but it wouldn't hurt to take out his competition. Or at least take it down a peg.
