Ahaha! How silly and easy to please was this male? Give him a little bit of a suggestive calm and he just relaxes himself entirely! Wouldn't last on his own, would he. Must have been one of those... what did they call them? City folk? What was a city anyways...?
Didn't matter.
Regardless, there was no way this guy was going to last if left to his own vices. Still, that was amusing in its own right. Oh, how easy it was to make friends! If even Hatil could do it, so could she. "I've only come once, last year. Don't really remember much... A lot of eating, spa, drinks, some others got kidnapped to the forest - but don't worry Venus brought them back - basically the same sorts of things you can do this year." No pause was made for the clearly outlandish thing she had said; she acted as if it was entirely normal.
She rolled into her back, her wings lazily falling downwards below her. They weren't particularly close to Tocino, but it felt nice for her to stretch them out like this. "So, like I said, nothing particularly interesting."
She wouldn't be lying if she said she was surprised by how slow her friends seemed to be at flying compared to what she was used to. Considering her only previous flight companion was her sister - also a harpy - her selection bias was certainly skewed in one direction. The abnormally quick direction. The awkward sack probably had something to do with it, but she wasn't intelligent enough to think of that; after all, she'd hardly noticed carrying it.
Being strong had its downfalls at times.
His small smile was reciprocated by one of her own as she followed after him. The place she called home was a forest, so she wasn't particularly accustomed to such a thick layer of undergrowth. Even so, Valko didn't deem to pause for anything! How awesome was that?! A strong flyer he might not be, but a strange jungle excavator he was!
Even she could notice how he seemed to relax. "Like it better in here?"
Purrfect! This was why she liked her sister; she just understood her and her thoughts so well. If she'd pointed like that to show something off to Mama Shah or Mama Laz, they'd surely had thought she was referring to the volleyball game. Her grandparents would have been even worse at figuring it out. Yet Ra'abia took not even a moment.
Mhm~! With a devilish glean in her eye, Aisha hummed a positive response to her twin before joining her in their prowl. Quietly... So quietly and definitely not suspiciously they moved closer to him, hoping not to catch his attention before the right moment. Closer... Closer... She could make out more of his small features now, including an eye just like hers! Did that mean he was like her too; could he see weird things too?! Maybe even more, since his eyes seemed to almost glow with a fiery passion.
Such intrigue brought a grin to her face to match the glint of her eyes.
Without even having to ask of it, her sister took the initiative to catch his attention while she trailed behind him. It was to no avail, however, as his ears quickly found her as well.
Well played, random stranger... Well played indeed.
Only one thing left to do in this sort of situation.
"OOOOOoooooooi~" She placed her hands to her lips as she called out, grinning. She hoped to have caught his attention well enough to lock all three eyes on his own. Her tail flicked behind her in a decidedly catlike manner "What're you?! Wanna play?"

Valko's inability to fly had helped him grow accustom to move though the underbrush, avoid getting stuck on bushes and vines as well as avoid tripping on roots. He kept his eyes on his surroundings making sure to look at the signs of which direction they where going in just in case they ended up wandering off the path to make sure they could get back.
Of course Hatil's ability to fly could probably help if they got lost as she could get above the canopy to see where the boat was. However Valko was determined not to get lost, after all he had spent most of his childhood wandering in a forest and often went back into them. He found it a mater of pride at this point, to not get lost in the forest.
One thing he noticed however was that the jungle certainly had more plants covering the ground than the forest and there where a lot more vines, over all there seemed to be a lot more stuff whcih was interesting.
He looked at Hatil, nodding as she asked if he liked it better in the jungle. "Very, you?" He wondered how she was dealing with all the stuff that was hanging down from the trees as she flew.

Raabi'a grinned as the strange boy locked eyes with her, his eyes gave off a strange red haze that intrigued her. She was surprised that he was able to pick up on Aisha's movements so quickly, he must be pretty perceptive to catch on to her sister.
Her tail flicked as she watched the stranger, she broke eye contact with him when her sister called out to him. She assumed the change in strategy to engage the target was due to the fact that Aisha had noticed that he knew she was there. Internally she nodded it was the smartest approach.
It was also a very direct approach she liked that about her sister, how she got straight to the point instead of small taking like hi how are whats your name and being polite and having to work out slowly what kind of pae they where. It was boring and slow direct approaches where the best. "Play~" She echoed her sister with a grin hoping he would play with them. She was quite curious as to what his answer would be to what he was.

Honestly Pearl just wanted to be wherever Autumn was. "We could go exploring the ocean," she said with a nod. She sipped her water. It was so odd to be drinking the thing she was ordinarily surrounded by. "It seems a shame to go back in the water so soon, though. Maybe just a quick dip and then we keep exploring up here?" There was so much to see! She wanted to see it all!
Then again, in the ocean...they'd have some privacy...
Her smile took on a somewhat mischievous quality. "After we finish our drinks, yeah?" She wrinkled her nose cutely.
Being close to the water made Kelebek relax a little again. She gave Hjortur's hand a little squeeze and dared to meet his gaze for the first time since they'd gotten off the boat. Just making eye contact with him made her insides turn to jellyfish and her cheeks turn even redder. "Mhm," she agreed, trying unsuccessfully to tuck her hair behind her earfins despite the beach wind. "Perhaps sitting in the surf and getting our tails back for a moment will make me feel more....." she trailed off. Normal? Comfortable? What did she even mean?
She began to wonder what had possessed her to come on this trip at all. Well, not really. She knew why. They'd had such fun last time, and she couldn't bear the thought of letting more time with Hjortur slip through her fingers. She hadn't quite bargained for...everyone else. Kelebek was realizing, despite her own large family, what a private naiad she was. Perhaps it was just...instinct.
But nevermind any of that. She closed her eyes and let the sound of the waves drown out her thoughts. They sounded different up here, but still comforting. She breathed in and out with the waves breaking on the shore.

Adelphos tried not to chuckle at his love's nervousness. "Don't worry so much, sweetheart. Grandmother will love the earrings you made, I'm sure of it. As for Mom's gift, I'm sure the tikis will have taken it with the rest of our things so if she does show up we'll know where it is." He smiled softly at her and kissed her cheek. He knew why she was nervous, and there was probably very little he could say to assuage her nerves. Yes, he came from a family of gods, but they were just like regular Pae. Kind of.
Okay, so they weren't really, but his parents were and they were the ones most likely to interact with the couple most. Grandma Venus (who could never be called Grandma to her face) would likely speak to them for a few minutes in greeting but then she would move on to the next most interesting thing. "Everything will be fine," he assured her and hoped he wasn't lying. Venus' parties had a tendency to get out of hand. But they still came every year...and he wasn't always sure why... He shook that thought from his head and pulled Ruby to a stop, cupping her face in his hand and smiling at her reassuringly. "Breathe, my love. We're here to relax, and to celebrate. So let's relax and celebrate." He stole a soft kiss and pulled her into a hug.
Carnelian grinned and wrapped her arm across her sister's back. They made quite the pair, she thought to herself. Finally old enough to (legally) attend their great-grandmother's party, the girls were eager to get the show on the road. She couldn't help a snicker, though, as Amy's sack of flour slid from its carrier. "Dude, you totally could have left it in your luggage. Mom is preoccupied with Dad and her gift for Great-Grandma," she said and grinned.
"We could always go to our rooms first, change into our bikinis? Then we could go down to the beach and do some Pae watching." Some of those Pae would inevitably be hot guys, she reasoned. And hot guys on the beach meant they would be shirtless... Yeah, she thought the beach would be a great start to this vacation. Just as long as their parents didn't catch up to them. "Bet they have drinks on the beach, too." Best of all worlds.
Firuzeh was happy as ever to be at another Venus Day celebration with her beloved. Who would have thought two such different Pae could make it as far as they had? Could make a family like theirs? She returned his kiss happily and squeezed the hand whose fingers laced between her own. She hoped that this year would be the one that nothing weird happened. She really would like one party where no one got kidnapped or stuck in a maze or anything like that. One normal party. Was that so hard for these gods to do? They were gods after all.
Ruzeh sighed softly and smiled at her husband as she thought about their choices. "Oh, let's do something relaxing first," she suggested. "Maybe a trip to the spa I read about while we were on the boat?" The couples' massage had sounded amazing and she could do with something relaxing. "What do you think, darling?" she asked and leaned into him. She just loved being close to him and couldn't get enough.
Batari stepped off the boat with a spring in her step. She had always heard about these parties, but had never gotten a chance to come to one. Well, this year she had dropped everything and signed up. She wouldn't be left out this time. The pink angel was tired of being accused of being 'uptight.' She would show everyone that she could let loose and party hard. And wasn't one of Venus' parties the best place to do that? Of course it was. The goddess' shindigs were always the talk of the whole island for weeks afterward.
She was absolutely determined to have fun at this party. The first thing she did was find herself a refreshment table and took a long drink of some pink drink that tasted fruity and sweet and wow it was really good. Batari downed the whole thing in just a few swallows and grabbed a second before heading up to her room. She was here to party, but she did want to start out slowly. In her room, she changed into her bathing suit: a simple white one piece with multicolored swirls covering it. Once she felt ready to go (and ready for another of those drinks, too) she made her way back down to the beach. She threw a towel over a chaise lounge and laid across it. Now this was a vacation...
Ikaia made all kinds of strange noises as he disembarked from the boat. Home!! He was home! Maybe he could stay here again. He liked the big city, but he missed his home. He looked at the bow ties some of the other tikis wore with distaste and thought, maybe the big island with all different Pae was better, after all. He enjoyed being able to do whatever he wanted to do, whenever he wanted to do it.
Speaking of, he was now free to choose where he wanted to go first. Taking a deep breath, Ikaia sighed at the heavenly scents that filled his nose. "Fooooood," he murmured and made his way to the first buffet table he could find. It was hard for him to get food from the table made for taller Pae but he found a way and eventually filled his plate with all kinds of goodies. He found himself a table and stood on the chair to eat.Quote: Batari and Ikaia are free for anyone to interact with!
As usual, Yukiko was running late to Venus' party. The new goddess just didn't know why time always seemed to move faster this time of year. Still, she made it to the island none the worse for wear and now she was looking for her fiance. The word still sent a thrill through her, especially as it was applied to herself and her darling Anteros.
She had never imagined that one night all those years ago could have led to all of this. There were days when she felt she didn't deserve all of this, but she knew there was little that would make her give any of this up. She loved Anteros with all of her heart and always would. Their family, as crazy as it could get sometimes, was everything to her. Their son, their grandchildren. Even his mother and all of his siblings. Yes, even during the insane shenanigans they could get up to during Valentine's. Speaking of which, she wondered what kind of shenanigans would happen this year...
