As his blindfold was loosened, Himeros got a better look at his rescuer. What a cutie! "Thanks, sweetie," he grinned and winked, unaware of just how accurate his slip had been. He leaned forward to give her better access to his hands, and he had to stifle a genuine laugh at noting the confused expression she wore when giving the 'safe word'.
Oh, how adorably innocent!
His hands freed, Himeros rubbed his wrists to restore the feeling, grinning all the while. "That might be fun for later and all, but I think there's a few things to take care of first." By then, the blue noisy one had returned. The lust god was starting to understand his twin's attempts at trying to disappear into the back of the bar the night before.
Raising an eyebrow at the ranting nymph, he quipped, "You don't like fruit? What do you prefer then?" Himeros lazily stretched, shaking out some of the stiffness of his joints, still with one eye on Pelagios. "Just so you know, I don't really care who has what bits, by the way. They're all quite nice. And mojitos can be quite useful, I'll have you know. Could probably get us all out of here if I had the means to make some now."
Beginning to rise, he leaned closer to his fauny rescuer and whispered, "...sure you don't wanna' use that blindfold as a gag?" Then, smiling innocently, he finished rising to his feet and stretching.
The harpies had been separated from the rest and taken away, he'd noted with narrowed eyes. Why?

There was no greater comfort than Mayu's words. The feelings shared between the sisters reciprocated on one another. Her hand found the top of her sisters as she offered a relieved smile, "I wanted to rescue, step one of finding you worked." There was an attempt to cause a laugh at herself though she found no mirth. Once they were free and properly pampered this would be much funnier.
Her spirits were further lifted by the praise in her actions. Bolstered, she fluffed her own feathers out a moment and settled back into the more confident reposed Lillibeth the island deserved to be graced with. It wouldn't do to freak out too much with others around. There was no comfort with those outside the flock, just having them all there was setting her a bit on edge. "Thank you, Mayu." Her words alone were worth all the gold and silks in the world.
The question with the flower was an odd one, the pull of it still there but not as overpowering. "If its put close enough that they have to come and get it--" The shadow of a plan was cut off when two more harpy joined the already overcrowded gilded cage. "I don't think so.." Her words wavered, having not seen the other harpy too closely. One way to find out, she all out asked the two newest harpies, "Did you follow anything into the jungle before being captured?" It wouldn't do to tip off the evil creatures that held them captive. Still, there was a chance the answer would be confusion, that alone was worth hope.
Questions of the berries was another smart one. Her own answer came out low for Mayu only, "If one of them eats and shows ill affects, we'll know." It was too much to risk her Matriarch to questionable food. The others of their kind were better than most but still not of the flock. The fainting idea still had merit and was not one she was ready to let go of quite yet.

Nyra's alarmed shriek quickly turned to anger as the nets and multiple weights atop her restricted her movements. Before she could break free, her wings and hands had been securely bound.
That didn't stop her from fighting back.
Lashing out furiously with her talons and biting at anything that got close enough, Nyra forced her captors to take extra measures to secure this one. With lots of teamwork (and more than a few scratches), the little masked beasts managed to rig up several ropes to gently lead Nyra along...while everyone kept at a safe distance from her.
Nyra hissed at the creatures in frustration, but there was little she could do with two leads up front and two behind, all held taut so that she couldn't get near enough in either direction to land more blows. Though they attempted to be gentle, they were also relentless and eventually Nyra had to stomp along in frustration to wherever they were trying to take her.
Wherever it was, it was some distance along the way, and before they got there, they were joined by a second group. Nyra stared at this other bird, white feathers like her, but she was touched by colors that reminded her of the sunset, where Nyra had black touches to her plumage. The other seemed to have a bit fancier tail feathers, to which Nyra huffed. Well, she'd gotten captured, so she must not be much of a warrior.
Wait, no...she was in the same situation.
It was a relief in a way to have her bonds removed, though she did manage to get in a couple parting hits on the masked captors before they escaped. That made Nyra feel a bit better too. Then, she started taking in her new surroundings...and all the other birds.
Nyra notably stiffened. At first, she thought it was because she'd sighted the other bird from the night before, the one that had made her act all strange. Clearly it'd been her fault. Right? She eyed the other one curiously at her question. She'd seen something move and had dived to get a closer look, but she hadn't seen anything before the net. Then these stupid masked things had cheated and netted her.
"Something, but dirty cheating mask beasts got in the way," she answered with a sneer, turning a glare on the one to enter with a bowl full of berries. He quickly vanished, leaving her no one to aim her angry stare at.
It became clear that it wasn't just the sight of the one bird that was making her antsy. It was all of them. Every time her eyes lit upon one of the other birds, Nyra could feel something welling up in her...something that told her to fight, protect herself and her territory...though this wasn't her territory. Not yet. The sight...the smell...the mere presence of them all in this tight space was making the urge build. She needed space...or to lash out at these intruders.
She didn't like fighting in an enclosed space though. She liked having room to maneuver. She was reluctant to start something here...maybe if they could get outside first...but for now, she'd not hesitate to defend herself if one of the others started something first.
Staring at the bowl, she quipped, "What with prey food?"

Harmonia paused her efforts after Tristen yelled for his daughter. As still as she could be, she listened. The deity expected the child to come poking out covered in leaves and lost. As it did not seem to work out as she'd hoped, another plan was in order.
As she formulated the idea, one that was failing at every effort, her champion had to go and make her chuckle. "They will not, hoping to get my hair out of the way and cool my neck." Waving her had as to wave away the trouble, she had to give up on the original idea. Now she swept all her hair over her right shoulder and tied it up as tightly as she could. There was still a lock on her left shoulder going to a curl against the top of her bikini top but it would have to do.
Okay, that was near enough solved, though would still serve as an annoyance. "Yelling won't help then, shame. Okay, lets try to move off the path as much as possible, don't want to disturb tracks or the forest itself." Without any concern about the matter, Harmonia stepped around one of the trees guarding the path they chose to follow. There was something to be said about learning from the disaster that was questioning Artemis.
She tried to find harmony within herself, an easy task, then exude it around herself. As a deity she would not be bound by this jungle didn't matter if it liked it or not. With as easy as it could be to get lost, she made sure to stay where she could easily view Tristen.

With each step, it felt like the jungle was crowding her more and more. Sunlight was being blocked out by all of the foliage, and she was hardly able to move through the close trees. Oh, and the humidity! It felt like she was breathing something solid, it was so thick, and it clung to her skin. Within minutes, Navi was regretting her choice of wandering the jungle and was contemplating turning back and making her way back to the resort. Oh, a dip in a cool pool would be nice.
No, no she was here for perfume research, and turning back now would have meant she just wasted her time. She'd continue onward, pushing through. She noticed that the forest was thinning a little out on the right hand side, and she stopped walking to catch her breath. Maybe she should go in search of relief there. Then again, the good stuff was always the hardest to get through...
No, she'd continue on through this choking forest to get what she came here to get. Yes, that was the plan!
FA Mysteries Navi's continuing through the thickness!
