When he saw Marco look back, Olan scurried forward to catch up to him. He still kept his distance, but it wasn't as big this time.

Once Olan was in Marco closed the door and locked it. He sat down at his desk and started to eat.

Olan laid on the couch once more, now staring at the wall away from Marco. 'His pet? I really am his pet?' he thought to himself. Was he turning into an animal? Or was he too dependent? It's not like he could really help it...

Marco finished his sandwich and looked over at Olan. He frowned and went over to him.

"Are you still upset about the pet thing? What do you want from me?"

The deaf boy merely sighed. Of course, as Olan had been facing the wall, he wouldn't be able to see what Marco would say.

He waved a hand in front of Olan's face to get his attention and asked again. "Are you still upset about the pet thing? What do you want me to do for you?" He was getting a little annoyed with him at the moment.

Olan didn't know how he was supposed to reply. What exactly did he want Marco to do? Somehow prove to him that he wasn't a pet? What kind of proof exists? "I don't know."

He just sighed and went back to his desk. He didn't know why Olan was being so impossible today. But he was spoiling the other to much.

For a moment, Olan wanted to apologize, because he clearly annoyed Marco, but he wasn't sure about what he should apologize for. It would have been so easy to tell him that a prisoner had called him a pet and it had bothered him ever since, but he didn't want Marco to end up killing the person.

Marco shifted through some papers on his desk for a bit before looking back at the other. He couldn't stay mad at him. So he got up once again and this time joined Olan on the couch and held him on his lap. "Olan I care about you and I just want you as happy as possible. But I can't make anything better if you won't tell me what's wrong or how I can make it better."

Olan relaxed, glad that Marco still cared about him. "Promise you won't get mad?" he asked, still rather hesitant with talking about his problems. They did start because someone had given him the idea. He really didn't want anyone hurt just because he was uncomfortable.

He nodded. "i promise. Now please tell me what's wrong."

Olan took a deep breath. "Last night, someone called me a pet," he began signing. "He said he felt sorry for me. I didn't sleep at all after that."

Marco frowned. He didn't like others upsetting Olan. "You shouldn't worry about it. He's just jealous that you have it better than him."

Olan lightened up a little. "Really? You think so?" So he got worried over nothing?
