Calder turned, holding his side as he looked at his skin. It was a angry red. His burns from Red has just started to fade, and now he had burns on them. Still, what was hurting more were the words and faces around them.
"What is wrong with all of you? The point of being a group is to be strong together. Look at you all. Christof, beating up on Jericho when he's already injured? What point would that serve? Turning on your own herd like that. He's just as much a guard to Riley as you are. This is all tiresome enough. Honestly. To the point you make Mal upset?" That was saying something.
Groaning, he slipped off his cot, hooves hitting the ground. Good. Sturdy.
"The hunters came into our school, lured us out, and attacked us on our very territory. You should be grateful they didn't kidnap all of us or turn her into a weapon. That or.." He glanced to Riley. She wasn't ash. "...the last thing you would want is to be placing more pins in a pile." He moved over, and looked down at Jericho.
"And you. Riley doesn't keep people around her who are weak. You're falling to pieces when she's the one that needs you to keep things together. She's not the leader of this school. You're putting WAY too much pressure and demands on her. We lead each other. As a group. She's not a Queen, but a student just like you. Just a ghoul, and no, that's not an insult to her. That means you have enough power to get up and do the same sort of leadership, and right now, we don't need everyone to fall to pieces and just let the hunters just dance on our school's grave."
He sat down at the end of Riley's cot, regarding her a moment. That looked like a rather nasty hole. "A herd is not strong by one member. We're strong together. If one person falls, it should be the responsibility of all of the members of the herd to remain strong or else the wolves pick them off one by one." He was not the only one who was a tad pissed off. Even he could be territorial.

Mei watched as others groaned over injuries, and fussed over friends. Jack damn..if her fear wasn't near depleted right now, she could be assisting in healing others. However, she was too tired to even move. Tired and sore.
Aside from a few cuts on her skin, the only thing really notable was that there was a burning sensation running through her skin--like she had just walked in and out of an oven.
"Fire?" She repeated after Willow. Was that what was causing the pain? If so, how long would it last? "Fire like Red's attack?" Staring wide eyed at the ghoul, she was shocked to hear such a thing happening. She remembered the fire from Red's attack--it was how she died a second time. "Why..?" How could that have happened?
Shaking her head, she furrowed her brow slightly. "I doubt they'll ever leave us alone. They're bent on killing, or turning us into weapons." Disgusted at the very thought, she spread her leg out in front of her, hugging her other one close. "They said that we killed their kind--but I don't know any one here who would do that." Why would they want to kill them anyways? She could care less about seeing their faces ever again. But if this continued..they very well might force their hands. If she had too..she would kill them.
"Jack..I hope Bul wasn't caught in..whatever it was that happened--fire attack."

When what might have been a fight broke out, Mortimer cringed further, head buried into his knees. It was only when Christof backed off, cowed by the plague doctor's icy words, that the zombie uncurled the slightest.
Amrita had pointed out something of the igor's he still had - albeit in a place Mort had not expected. With a small wince, he yanked the pocket knife out, not only because of the wound it left, but also as he was painfully reminded of the self-inflicted one he had committed upon the very hand that held it - as a way to keep himself awake.
He looked at the red dragon and wondered if he could help; and then Mort found he couldn't. He didn't know Jericho well beyond having some sort of close bond with Riley.
Graaaaa.
For the first time in a while, he let go of Xiu's hand. "M-Mr. Christof?" he posed to the vetala, gesturing for them to go to the boil. He had enough energy to try and visit his idol, he who had leapt to his aid when he didn't have to.
And then, a little louder and towards the igor himself: "Mr. Christ-tof . . ."

Christof was still wobbling numbly by the wall, content to just.... stay out of the way. Become part of the furniture, like he had been taught. Until he could get his wits together enough to be of use, anyway.
Malodore was mad at him.
Riley would be mad at him too, if she knew, and she would hear about his outburst, he was sure. She somehow always did. Always had reasons to be disappointed in him.
Calder was right, they were only as strong as all of their Parts combined... but he was a rotten part. Or at least, he felt like one. One that needed replacing.
His chest hurt, and not because of the mark but the organ that pulsed beneath it. He was not going to cry here. But if he couldn't express his rage, couldn't express his sorrow, what could he express?
Like the dragon, he was left with nothing, just a sense of uselessness.
He did not see Barth amongst the fallen here, which at least kept him from further panic, but even so, perhaps he should go...
His name was called, and he glanced up, brows knit anxiously as though expecting another shout, another slap, another snarl of discontent at his behavior... but no. It was that first year, Mort... the zombie who also liked Tinkering...
He was sitting with Amrita and Miss Xiu, but calling out to him... well, he had botched up helping Malodore and Moure, but... maybe he could still help the Vetala. Face still numb and sullen, he shifted from his out-of-the-way spot, shuffling over to Mort with a polite 'how-may-i-be-of-service' sort of bow.

As quickly as his attention had been taken from the mindflayer by Savior's presence, it was stolen again by a startlingly familiar roaring in the distance. As the rumbling whisper grew louder, he stood more quickly than he could have a minute before, his eyes going wide and his breath catching in a series of shortened huffs.
When West finally saw the blue tinge highlighting the trees, he ran.
He told himself it was no coincidence that he was the only one left who could move, that he was meant to get away, but when the fire caught him, he knew it had been a lie. He didn't scream. That was one thing to be proud of, he supposed.
A sharp gasp marked West's return to consciousness. He sat up immediately, closing his eyes again as a wave of nausea washed over him, then leaned forward and rolled to his feet. His gaze swept over the office, taking in Christof, Calder, Malodore, Jericho, Riley... The nurse had her. There was certainly nothing he could do that Cricket could not.
West flexed his burnt hand, brows furrowing at the sting, then walked calmly from the room, breaking into a run once he was sure no one could see.
(( go bye bye ))

Mei ignored the fight completely, only wincing when things got a little loud. Honestly..of all the times to start a fight. Though, she felt the urge to applaud Calder.
Nodding, she agreed. The fire was a little too unique to confuse it for another fire attack. She was just thankful she did not have to witness this one. She felt it--but she didn't see it. "I know.." At least they were all back, and somewhat alive.
Shaking her head, she honestly had no idea. Personally, she found the idea of killing there kind pointless and cruel. But what Willow said, was truth. There probably was some out there that killed them. Unfortunately for them, they paid the price of their actions. Damn it all! It sucked! She hated having to constantly worry about this sort of crap. Having to look over her shoulder all the time when on a trip--and now--on their own school grounds!
"Well..all I know is that if they keep attacking us..they might just get what they accuse us of. I'm sure a lot of the others here are already tempted to kill them as well." If it would stop them, and keep their friends safe--maybe it was worth it? Ugh! She hated thoughts like this! So Jacking gloomy!
Breaking her train of thought, she looked to Whisper as she spoke. "Jack, I hope so.." She doubted that Bul would run straight into the fire..there would be no point. "Could we?" She asked, a little too eager. "Only if your okay to move--I am."

As the commotion in the room began to subside, one of the cots was suddenly containing another student, A few minutes passed, before the student began to stir and wake up. A few minutes more, as the ghoul began to remember what had happened before she had reformed in the office, and then she jumped out of the cot with a start.
The last thing Astra could remember, was the horsemen walking through some sort of portal with a white robed man, and then she was on fire. Thankfully she wasn't on fire now, patting herself down to make sure there were no burns or any lingering damage.
Physically, at least.
Once the fairy ghoul had the presence of mind to look around to see what was happening, she was immediately aware that something was wrong. Really wrong. Jericho was kneeling on the floor, and christof was looking horrible as well. Malodore was assisting someone else, but it seemed...angry about something.
A feeling of dread rose within her. There wasn't much that would cause these students to look so distressed. She looked around again and her thoughts were confirmed. Riley was in another cot, with Nurse Cricket nearby. Taking a few steps closer, she gasped, seeing the huge hole that was in Riley's chest.
She heard and saw Pepin approach Riley's cot, saying something about pixeling, as well as a few others say words of encouragement to everyone else. She stayed back though, choosing to hide behind one of the cots. She didn't want to disturb anyone, and she already felt tears welling up. She fought them back, not wanting to make a scene in the office.

In response, Mort presented the knife almost ceremonially - ceremonially in that it was held with both of his palms facing upward, almost in that the blade still had bits and pieces of flesh and dried blood from when Mort had stabbed himself twice (purposefully and accidentally).
Noting this, the zombie took it back and attempted to clean it on his burnt shirt. The results were not much better but, well, he didn't want to spit on it for fear of making it worse. Again the pocket knife was offered.
"Th-Thanks, sir," Mort told him with a bowing nod of his head. "Tried g-get free, but fail. But also s-stayed 'wake to watch Hunter n' Horsemen go, by s-stab." Both Christof and Amrita could probably now see the medium-depth wound on his right hand where this occurred. "N' thanku, miss," he added to the vetala with a bow of his head as well, "for st-stitching up. N' for hugs."
Really, he wanted to say thanks for a lot of different things, but he couldn't cogitate the thoughts correctly, much less attempt a broken sentence to verblaize it.
He also kinda wanted to continue hugging, but the atmosphere wasn't exactly conducive for it.
"Um . . . a-are okay, sir?" Mort added tentatively.
