"y-your Gay!?" she snapped. Didn't he just kiss her a few hours ago?! Then when he started laughing at her she pouted. "Not funny Daryn. I always thought you were gay at some point..." she was just teasing him now. She cuddled with the kitten and leaned back on the couch. When highschool was over she went straight to college and only dated...well Jason. Unfortunatly she's stuck there. Her hand rubbed her naked ring finger. She wanted out..but she couldn't.

Daryn was grinning madly.
"Maybe I was gay at one point."
He joked and carefully changed positions, resting his injured foot on the table.
"What about you? I know you wanted to be a singer or something right?"
He asked and reached over to rub Melody's cheek, causing her to purr even louder.

Gabe sighed. He was right. "Well, someone who I care about told me 'that it was a waste of my time and that I should forget about it ' " She was quoting him, unfortunatly. She leaned her head against the back of the couch, a cuddling habit. "And I took it to heart. So I went to school for what mom wanted me too...art" She wrapped her arms around herself.
"So I went to college...did my thing. kept to myself. Mom had her surgery...lost her job.." she shrugged. "So I started to work at a wedding shop. My boss introduced me to Jason." she stopped for a moment thinking back. " We hit it off...he was really nice in the begining Daryn" She sighed. But for some reason she couldn't stop talking.
"He used to bring me flowers..everything. I thought it was something good. " her eyes were distant. "He proposed a year ago...mom liked him.Alot. It was all perfect untill.." she blushed a little, feeling embaressed. "I told him no everytime he tried too.." she was to shy to tell him about sex. " That part just didn't seem right. I don't think I was ready...and he got mad." she closed her eyes "He went out and got drunk. He came back to my apartment drunk and that was the first time he hit me."
When she opened her eyes she looked at him in the eyes. "I tried to leave..but he uses my job against me. And mom. I'm the only thing supporting her right now..I've tried to leave, but he can ruin my career as an artist..." She wanted to cry, but she felt all cried out. "I'm scared of him Daryn.."

Daryn listened quietly to Gabriella's confessions and didn't move for a long time afterwards. Then his crazy streak decided to surface. He continued to pet Melody as he started telling her his thoughts on it.
"Why didn't you tell me about Dawn?...No, nevermind. That's not important right now. Listen... Gabe. If the j... if Jason really cared about you, he wouldn't have told you singing was a waste."
His tone was quiet and calm. He knew he had to tread carefully so as not to make her angry or anymore upset.
"I understand it's hard considering he was a nice guy. But trust me, if he's going to be like he is now during marriage then you don't want that. You know you don't."
He made eye contact with her then, driving his views as carefully as he could.
"I think that if he wants to ruin your career in art.... and don't bite my head off, just hear me out Princess. If he wants to ruin your career, then let him do it. Break it off with him and then do what you love. You love singing, and you're amazing at it."
He told her.
"I can help support you and Dawn. I have enough money saved from my records so you can get started. School isn't an issue because I finish this year. Don't decide now, but give it some thought ok?"
Daryn reached over and gripped her left hand. He would have loved to kiss her and was only a few inches away from her, but he bit the inside of his cheek and held back.

She sighed. He thought Jason was one who told her not to sing...She listened but he should of known he was going to say no. She couldn't do that. His hand felt warm on hers as always. She didn't bother pull away,
"You know what I'm going to say to that." She was refering to his supporting her and Dawn. "It's not right for me to take your money. I don't even take Jasons.." she sighed and closed her eyes, using her right hand to pet Melody.
She pulled her braid out of her har. SHe always pulled her hair down when she was thinking.

((Sorry I didn't post earlier, I was out of the house at 9:30 and didn't get back in until 11:30 PM gonk ))
Daryn just stared off into space over her shoulder, his normally bright eyes dull. There were a thousand things he wanted to say, but at the same time he didn't want to.
What point would there be? Career wise and financially, he was set. But what good was any of it if he had no friends or family? He was angry and apathetic all at once. He'd tried to help her from her situation but what good would that be if she didn't help herself?
Daryn's thoughts were going a mile a minute. He thought of his mom and how much he missed her, thought of his fight with Gabriella and the regret that ate at him afterwards.
Finally he thought of his dad, laying broken and unmoving in the hospital. He would most likely never wake up again.
He had been silent for a full five minutes, just staring. He slowly turned his gaze on Princess and her thinking habit.
'Hey... I think........"
Before he finished his sentence he swayed once and then passed out, falling off the couch and landing with a thud on the floor.

[ its all good. eek But Woah..Daryn....]
"Daryn!" Gabe freaked out. She thought she said something wrong. She automatically went to the floor for him. "Daryn!? " She touched his neck. Passed out. That was it. Gabe ran for her cell phone...

After a few hours on the phone with a doctor she had Daryn in his bed, covered in blankets with a warm wet cloth on his head. She had soup going and candles lighting the room up. The doc said he was exhuasted and dehydrated.She even went as far as binding his bad foot up. Only thing was she was going to have to explain how she got him in nothing but his boxers. Doc wanted him warm in this weather.
Gabe felt bad. For everything. She thought it was all her fault. It had to be. Daryn was upset about something. She knew it was about her and Jason, his dad. She just couldn't see why he would want her now! Of all times.
Gabe glanced at the time on her cell phone and winced. It had been nearly the whole day now. He had slept that long..She hope he didn't hid his head that hard! Princess started to freak out more than normal...
"daryn I'm sorry..I really am.." She whimpered a little and looked over at Melody. Who was eating some cat food that Gabe put out for her.
Gabe stretched out on the bed next to Daryn and layed her head on his chest like she did when they were little. Only difference was that he was under blankets.

((Well, considering all that's happened to him and also... he's a bit emo, lol))
Daryn woke up slowly and groaned. He just remembered his vision going a little funny. He must have passed out from some kind of overload. Shifting around a bit, he realized that he was in bed. In his boxers... with someone next to him, or rather, on top of him. Looking down at the weight on his chest, he saw Princess.
"Uh... what happened?"
He said simply and brought his hand up to his forehead where a warm cloth sat. Looking out the window, he saw that practically the whole day was gone! He swore and tried to sit up, instantly regretting it. He sank back onto the pillow slowly, frowning at the headache he had and plunking his other hand across Gabe's shoulders.
"I was sleeping all day?

"The Doc I called up said you were dehydrated" she muttered. She sat up and rubbed her cheek, feeling bad that she had squished him. She sat on her knee's next to him. "Your foots wrapped up too..." she looked around the room and then rubbed her eyes again. She was tired but didn't want to leave.
Melody was stretching as she ate. The action caught Gabes eye for a split second then it went back to Daryn.

"Oh.. uh, thanks for my foot."
He said dumbly and after a moment he was able to slowly sit up.
"You look tired. I'll be ok now so maybe you should go to bed."
He offered her a small grateful smile then frowned and smelled the air.
"Hey, are you making soup or something on the stove?"
He looked at her with confused yet adorable green puppy eyes.
A spitting sound was heard in the kitchen and Melody's ears perked up as she briefly looked towards the door before she finished eating.

"Oh Gosh yea!" she stumbled over herself a little before jumping off the bed. She had the fireplace going. The electricity still hadn't kicked back on. She grabbed a candle on her way out, placing it on the tabel as she started pouring the soup out of the pot. It was old shcool, but it tasted good.
She brought it back to him on a tray with some crackers and tea. The doctor said he needed to rehydrate and eat healthy. She set the tray on a bed tray. The ones meant for breakfast in bed. "Here..your supposed to stay in bed ...unless you gotta go to the bathroom.." she rolled her eyes and smiled sweetly, before taking her spot back on the otherside of him.

Daryn looked surprised as she brought the soup in and sat up further.
"Well this is a pleasant surprise."
He laughed.
"I haven't been this well treated since I was.. seven."
He only hesitated briefly, most likely thinking of his mother but he quickly put it to the back of his mind.
"Thanks Gabriella. I appreciate this, though I don't deserve it."
He gave her an embarrassed smile and then looked down at the soup eagerly.
"What kind is it?"
Daryn asked as he picked up the spoon.

Gabe laughed softly. "your favorite. What else would I make?" she layed her head on the pillow opposite him. She had even given him some of the little fishy crackers on the side. SHe loved those things...she stole a few when he wasn't looking.
Gabe smiled and stroked Melody's back when she got on the bed.

Daryn dug into the soup greedily and when Melody stuck her nose in to see if she could get any, he gently scooped her up and placed her in Gabe's lap.
"This is my food, you had yours by the looks of it."
He eyed her chubby tummy before picking up the tea and sipping it carefully. He finished the meal in a matter of minutes and sat in contentment until he realized he was still only in his boxers.
"Well, I feel way better than I did. To h*** with the doctors, I'm gettin outta bed."
He announced after pushing the tray away and climbing out of bed, not caring that Gabriella was sitting right there.

"Just don't over work yourself" she said. She'd be strict if she had too, but he looked fine. Really fine..she caught herself staring at him. It wasn't the fact that he was halfnaked...just looking at him. How beautiful he was to her. She felt like a teen again. She shoved a fish cracker in her mouth and focused on Melody.
