Rowan smirked mentally. Because we're lifemates. We have a bond. It really was a strange thing to hear someone else's voice in your head... He needed to make sure he kept quiet about that. Though, Patrick and Lili understood well or would when he told them.

Breya smiled. I suppose so, she thought then sighed and took a deep breath.I guess this will come in handy if you have to go off on some political venture, she mused silently then opened her eyes and went back to petting the horse.

Ian hit the back of his son's head. "Pay attention," he growled as the head chancellor spoke to the entire council on the policies going into effect and those up for consideration.

Rowan smiled a little. Aye, I suppose so. He blinked a little at his father's sudden blow to the head then rubbed it. Ow.... He nodded once then looked to the head and listened as intently as he could.

Breya laughed outwardly then shook her head. She finished with Blaze then gathered up her skirts and walked back toward the palace. It was probably time for more lessons. Hopefully it was not posture. Trying her best not to slouch, she went where she'd been designated and found the batty old woman waiting for her. "Mrs Sutton," she greeted.

About a month later, Rowan was in his room preparing for the masque. He and Breya had most certainly grown closer and he was absolutely positive that he was in love with her now. But, he hadn't exactly said that to her face. He smiled softly as he checked himself over in the mirror.

Lili smiled widely as she helped Breya get ready as well. "Are you excited?"

"Oh yes," Breya smiled then took a deep breath as she examined the gown and then the jewels at the corner of her eyes to substitute for a mask to wear. She looked back at Lili. "I'm nervous as well...About two things. One...the masque, second...the fact that I'm quite certain I'm with child. I have not had my menses and I've been with your brother five weeks. I was supposed to get them a little over a week ago and the fact that they haven't come yet..." She trailed off. "Do you think he'll be excited if I tell him?" she asked glancing at the best friend she could ever have. Patrick was busy with Bethia, giving her a few hugs and kisses before he had to escort Lili downstairs before Breya would get escorted with her own husband.

Lili blinked in surprise then smiled widely. "I think he will be." She was certain of that. She'd sensed the love that was continuously growing inside of Rowan and it was proving to show it might not stop. "I think he'll be ecstatic, even if he might not show it. You know how he is at times..." She smirked a little then said, "Come now, we'll get you to him, hm?"

Breya nodded then walked to the hallway just as Patrick came to enter. "Breya," he greeted then smiled at Lili. "Time to go sweetheart," he chuckled as Breya walked to the chambers she shared with her husband and entered slowly. She smiled. "Rowan," she greeted. Taken aback by how devillishly handsome he looked. She would never tire of looking at her husband. Or loving him in every way she could. She sighed. "Its time for us to go downstairs...But...I want to tell you something before we do..."

Lili smiled at Patrick then took his arm. "Let's go... We need to make sure my father doesn't bite anyone's head off..."

Rowan turned to look at Breya as she walked in and a crooked smile came onto his lips. "Wow... You look amazing." He blinked a little then nodded at her words. "Of course, what do you want to tell me?" He was a little worried now. Was she ok? Was she ill? Nervous?

Patrick chuckled and led her out of the room and began walking toward the stairs with her on his arms.

Breya took a deep breath. "Well...I think I'm pregnant. Now its not for certain. I won't know for sure for a couple of weeks yet...but I'm almost postive I am," she said then looked at him nervously. "So...what do you think of that?" she asked curiously. "Me more than likely having a child within the next eight months."

Rowan blinked and stared at her for a few moments. "You think... Really?" His eyes seemed to light up as he thought of this. He had always wanted to be a father and now it was more than likely happening. He gave her a smile at her next question then said, "I think... It's wonderful." He nodded once then smiled warmly.

She smiled brightly at that. Glad that her news made him happy. She stepped up on her toes then kissed him slowly. "We should get downstairs," she smiled taking his hand and leading him toward the door. "We'll celebrate later," she promised him teasingly.

Rowan nodded then took her arm in his then placed his other hand over her hand on the arm he was holding. "Ok, come on then." He smiled a little then lead her out the door. "Are you nervous at all?" he asked.

She took a deep breath. "A bit but you're at my side so what major trauma am I going to go through," she laughed then kissed his cheek as they walked down the hall. The courier announced there arrival and they were walking down the marble steps slowly as people looked on at their new princess. She took a deep breath. "You'll be my strength won't you Rowan?" she asked with a soft smile.

Rowan nodded then kissed her cheek as they made their way in there. "Of course, but you need to learn how to be strong yourself." He smirked a little then wrapped his arm around her waist gently.
