I don't know if anyone remembers a really old show called The Land of Frooz. I use to love this show, and I would watch it every morning until I started Kindergarten.

I mean what the hell is up with people now with their shows about fitting in, dating, and fashion? and its all aimed at kids. I know this cause my little cousin watches the disney channel and cartoon network at my house sometimes and i tell you all of its CRAP! like what the hell is skunk fu?! what happened to cartoons with creativity like Fantastic Max, David the Gnome, carebears and rainbow brite? What happened to educational shows like Wishbone? I used to love that damn show lol!!

Alexis Arquette oh duh I forgot to add The Super Mario Brothers Super Show man that was kick a**, my only problem with it was that Bowser looked different on the cartoon than in the games!! ah oh well... oh wow, someone else who can remember that show. whee But i agree. a lot of the newer stuff is geared for a market driven society. "Hey kids! Be like every one else and buy product X!" It's a sad state of the times. But i will admit, I love Chowder and Spongebob. but i do miss the yesteryears of Smurfs and Gummi Bears sweatdrop

My kids picked up more stuff they shouldn't have from cartoons then I ever would have liked. I Don't remember Fantastic Max or David the Gnome. I tell you the ones I really did used to like when my kids were little was Winnie The Pooh and Franklin and Little Bear. As far as I am concerned that was good stuff. It was peaceful and calming and made me feel better watching it with them. I miss those shows and when we had those channels again recently I couldn't find them on. crying I remember watching care bears with my niece. I liked tha tone too. PBS still carries Clifford The Big Red Dog and Curious George and I am not above watching those when my teens aren't looking. lol

I like some of todays cartoons, and animes, however I find the majority of them to be a blathering ignorant rants about useless ditherings. How utterly depressing that our children and the youth of our nation is being raised on this nonsense. Not all nonsense is useless, however there are only 1 or 2 shows on today that teach REALITY in their quaint disquises. smile

mmmkay lets go back even further with Felix the Cat and Fractured Flickers. Well I guess someone did mention Rocky and Bullwinkle.
But yeah can anyone name what cartoon this quote came from?
"Help Mr. Wizard" and "Drizzle, Drazzle, Druzzle, Drome, time for this one to come home!"

I don't know... this is pretty crappy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLZIWZszuh8Most of the cartoons I remember from then had really bad animation. Sure, we see a lot of Flash made stuff now, but at at least it flows smoothly. The stories though leave a lot to be desired. I miss some of the old serious cartoons.
