Zeph waved to everyone getting onto the pitch and waited for everyone to get settled in. Thankfully he didn't have the same worries as last year when he had to pick a vice-captain, so that was one less thing on his mind. However, he did have to figure out a good team to have so that wasn't going to be fun. Sighing, he organized the forms and set them aside, already looking over everyone before he started speaking."Hey everyone! For those that don't know me, which is I think only one person, I'm Zephyros Whitethorne, but just call me Zeph. It's much easier. I'm the captain for the team, and my vice-captain is the blond bubbly guy over there named Balder Borson. Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and make this brief so that we can get going with tryouts. Yellow team, you're going to be Emma and Sky on chaser, Dexter and myself on beater, and our seeker's going to be Mel. For the Black team, Kiki, I want you and Candace as chasers, Ivar and Hannah as beaters, and Lionel as the seeker. Balder is going to be the keeper for both sides, and beaters, yes, you can aim at the seekers, just don't kill them please. We're going to do a scrimmage game for tryouts, but first I want people to go ahead and run a few laps to warm up. Skylar finished up her stretches and stood in line with the others, waiting for their instructions. Zeph welcomed them all and told them their teams. The blonde nodded, mounted her broom, and took to the sky. When the Quaffle was tossed, the Seekers were already on the trail of the Snitch, and it didn't seem like anyone else was going for the red ball. Skylar flew in for it, reaching her hand out to grab it.

Candace had even realized she hadn’t given Dex her name. Jumping up from being on the ground, she smiled brightly. “Name’s Candace friends call me Ace or Candy depending on the occasion.” She told him as she brushed her hand off and held it out to him.“Good luck today.” She said with a smile. When Zeph started to get things underway, Candace looked over at him. She was so happy to hear she’d be trying chaser first. With a skip in her step she got into her run. Her running of the laps certainly didn’t go without her tripping over her own two feet. However she was quick to get right back up and keep going.
Getting into the air, Candace was ready to go. Holding onto her broom the second year went straight for the quaffle as it was tossed up. It appeared she was going head to head with Skylar. A little friendly competition didn’t hurt any.

Skylar snatched the Quaffle up and tucked it safely under her arm. She took off for the goals. Hopefully she wouldn't get hit this time around.

Candace narrowly missed the quaffle at the toss-up. She didn’t mind seeing as Skylar was her friend and getting on the team wasn’t a huge deal. Though, that didn’t stop her from chasing after her quiet friend. Watching as Kiki went for the ball, Candace followed behind. She’d decided if Kiki couldn’t get the ball she’d give it a try. Seeing her teammate miss getting a hold of it, the second year tried to swoop in and take advantage. If she could get a hold of the ball it would be a positive.

Candace kept up her speed as she followed Skylar. She needed to get that ball back. Granted just because she got it back didn't mean she'd have as much luck as her friend. With a smile on her face she made an attempt to get the quaffle back. While being mindful of Emma who probably wasn't so far behind her.
