"N-no, you didn't," Kyo said. "I was just embarrassed about something I read." He didn't want to say that what he was embarrassed about was the entry from the journal. It might make Giki-san upset or even angry at him for reading such a private book.

"Something you... darnit! Don't tell me you found my books..." Then he blinked. Wait... his books were under the bed, and at a quick glance, it didn't look like anything beneath his bed had been disturbed. "Um... what did you read?" He asked, confused. "I won't be mad, I just want to know."

"I... read your journal," Kyo said, now expecting a yell. Then curiosity momentarily overtook his fear. What books? He only read a journal. How was he supposed to know if there were any books?

GIkishou's shoulder's relaxed as he exhaled in relief. "Okay, that's okay." He blushed a little. "So... you read my last entry, huh? I guess it's my fault for not closing it." He sat down beside him again, smiling.

Kyo relaxed then, relieved that the junior actually wasn't angry. "So, what books were you talking about anyway?" he suddenly asked, though he didn't realize it until a second after he spoke.

Gikishou rubbed the back of his head. "Well.... for one of my birthdays, Nick gave me some books that are... not child appropriate. If you'd read one of THOSE you would've gotten the wrong idea about me. I hid them so that nobody would find them."

"Oh, so that's why you were worried when I said I read something," Kyo said. "It's reasonable that you would hide them, but why keep them? Do they interest you?"

Gikishou held his hands out helplessly." They were a gift, I couldn't just reject them. maybe one day I'll read them, but not now." He told him.

"So, you've never read them before?" Kyo asked, now curious. For a moment he had thought that the junior had already read the books. According to what Giki-san was implying, Kyo's assumptions were wrong.

"well... the first few chapters... and then I found out what they were about." He said sheepishly. It had taken a few chapters for the story to get... explicit.

Kyo was a bit surprised. He had never known that there were books that get a bit graphic after only a few chapters. The books he had read usually turned graphic in the middle or near the end of the story, and he would put it down once it got to that point.

"So, anyway, breakfast... really can't get much colder.... but I'msure that you're hungry. Shall we eat?"

"Um... sure," Kyo said, hardly realizing that he hadn't eaten breakfast. He was still a bit nervous, and it didn't seem that the atmosphere will lighten up soon.

Gikishou smiled and handed him the tray. "About my journal entry... I just hope it doesn't affect your decision. No matter what you read or what I say, it's all up to you." He told him, kissing his forehead.

"Actually, I've been thinking about that decision for a long time," Kyo said, "and I reached my conclusion last night." He was very sure now that the moment has come. There was no time left to waste on looking for a time to confess.
