If expressed in bizarre and painful syntax and spelling, I don't exactly see how this is completely incorrect. "Christ" is a title. Buddha is also a title. However, I don't believe the two could be considered homologous. Was it that point you were snarking? Or the whole thing?

A bit of both. The whole thing came at the end of a conversation about how Wicca pre-dated Gardner, by the time he said what I quoted - my brain was already numb.
