Time to get this game going and since their guest has taken her shot first, he goes right on up with his caddy to play next. He takes a cigar out of the inside of his jacket pocket. Lights it and holds out his hand. The servant accompanying Mr. Giovanni hands him his mallet and places the red ball carefully in the exact place Miro's shot had made the snow not so deep.

He takes a look at the courtyard examining the manicured field covered in fluffy red. These contact lenses Gunter got for him are some high tech s**t. He can see further than he's ever been able to before and he can even adjust his focus to see depth…as in pinpoint and examine layers of depth of an object. He's also noticed he can see in the dark with these things in. Useful to say the least.

Plunking his cigar in his mouth, he stands with is feet shoulder width apart facing the ball and lines up his mallet with the ball. Looks to the playing field once again and then back to the ball. Without taking his eyes off of the ball, he pulls way back as though he were swinging a golf club, comes around and whacks that ball so hard a loud CRACK is heard as it projects off of the ground sailing way into the air. He tosses his mallet to the caddy, yanks out a pistol, stands straight up and shoots. The ball having sailed way in the distance shatters and a billion little pieces scatter in the distance falling to the ground. BODA BING!! emotion_dealwithit

Gleefully claps at her husband’s display of brute strength and impressive shot. emotion_kirakira Magnifico, Caro! Bravissimo! emotion_awesome heart If her husband’s shot is any indication of how to play this game, she’s going to have to have a stand in. She looks around the group of players and staff to pick the best candidate for this task. Hauk may be her best bet.

So far, she hasn’t yet formed an opinion about how to play this game and decides she should see a few others play before she does. When all eyes fall upon her, she simply puts her hand up. No no… as I am the hostess, it would be rude of me to take my turn before my guests. 3nodding Please…do proceed. whee

Lia nudges Hauk with her tail, making him stumble a bit and almost drop Anira off his shoulder. Glancing back at her he adjusts a moment and goes to place his ball down in general since he's never really played this game either before.

Taking his mallet carefully in one hand and casually placing his free hand in his pocket. The Hare does a full winding swing with his mallet hand as if he were swinging his axe which made the ball pop into the air; though not as high and as far as his Majesty's, and plopped itself down in the center of the field, knocking one of the Grunny clones out with a head shot. Everyone stares at it a moment to be sure and the Hare looks back to Hatter. That's extra points right?

*gapes in horror as the grunny goes limp and looks back to the Hare*
Y-You killed it! gonk That's practically one of your own and you killed it! gonk

*decides to go next since there doesn't seem to be any given order aside from Psy being last. He drops his ball to the ground and holds it steady with one foot while trying to carefully aim it toward one of the barely visible arches that practically blend in with the snow. Once he's sure he has it lined up, he gives the ball a gentle tap with the mallet and the ball goes rolling into a large snow bank*

.... *sighs*

Watches as Hauk takes his turn. Unorthodox form and she quickly holds her hand out when he makes contact with the red ball so Kyle can hand the Queen her opera glasses. Holding the long handle, she raises them up to her eyes and watches the ball descend and cream one of the small green grunny vermin. Indeed…an extra point. 3nodding Hands Kyle her opera glasses. Score one point for Hare Hauk! xd Kyle swiftly takes out his ipad to keep score.

So this is how the game is played. idea It’s a sportsman’s game! Not quite like “the hunt,” but a unique and challenging twist. xp

Ryzan has decided to go next. A pathetic swing. Ryzan, you will never score any points like that! talk2hand

All dem rules is gotta be splained, Dolce Cosa!!! stressed With this new knowledge of how this game works, he’s going to have to play more strategically. stare

Abruptly turns to her husband. I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING!!! I AM QUEEN!! scream evil

Had anyone else spoken to her in such a way, they would have been instantly hauled off to the gallows.

She clears her throat and gestures to the starting position. And who shall be next? whee

*flattens her ears against her head when Psyzapp yells, wincing slightly as her voice echoes through the courtyard* You'd think the snow would help dampen the sound. *drops her ball and mallet to rub her ears, immediately losing them in the snow. Not bothering to look for them, wanders away from the group, though she keeps an eye out for rogue croquet balls* I never knew croquet was so dangerous.

For years his lovely Queen has always stated “NEVER trust a bunny.” He’s never really given that statement much weight as bunnies are typically fragile, soft, cute little creatures who are basically harmless vegetarians. But his Dolce Cosa wouldn’t even bat an eye and turning the lot of them into stew. He finds himself narrowing his eyes and glancing at Hare Hauk. Looks like this harmless rabbit has successfully convinced his lovely Dolce Cosa to add a ruling in his favor. He’s chosen to play “hard ball” with Ol’ Gio. It all makes sense now as his lovely bride is gifted with foresight and her warning now resonates. He’s going to have to figure out a way to get the upper hand with this rabbit and fast. stare

Feeling it was her turn now since everyone minus the Door Mouse (who of course was to small to lift let alone swing a mallet) had gone. Hatter tossed her ball onto the bed of snow and took the mallet in her tail's grip. Turning around she hummed a tune as her tail took its time to line up and then WHACK the mallet hard as it could. The ball flew spitting bits of dirt and snow everywhere as it went through two of the Grunny Widgets (knocking a couple out flying into snow mounds as it went) Before it dug into a chunk of a hill to the left. Huh, that's weird.....was there a wind blowing? confused

*so far, he's not sure there's even going to be a need for him to insert chaos into this scene since there's already been some drama without his interference. At least he gets to enjoy watching Draa's clones getting abused, though emotion_awesome But for the sake of keeping his options open, he sneaks over to retrieve Kits' discarded ball and mallet to hang on to in the instance he sees a golden opportunity to use them*

Another unorthodox method of play, but these types of players are best suited for her kingdom. She'd rather have her subjects unorthodox as it makes life interesting. xp

Again holds out her hand to Kyle who hands her the opera glasses. Score TWO for Madame Hatter. 3nodding She says as she hands her glasses back to Kyle.

Not seeing anyone else step up to the tee position, it must be her turn. As she gracefully approaches the starting position, one of the red minotaur escorts her as Kyle trails behind. She holds her arm out and points directly to the ground. Kyle hands the red ball to the beast and it drops the ball where the Queen Mistress points. Just as she was to hold out her hand for the red mallet, she notices Katana off to the side shivering despite wearing a fur coat.

She raises an eyebrow. emotion_eyebrow Katana…I believe it is your turn. Looking to her minotaur escort, she gestures with her head ever so slightly in Katana’s direction. The beast immediately retrieves the Queen of Diamonds, grabbing her and hoisting her over his broad shoulder. It plunks the Queen of Diamonds directly in front of the Queen of Hearts taking a low bow to his Mistress. Psy holds out her mallet, offering it to Katana. I insist. emotion_eyebrow

"Hey put me down, you bull-faced lummox!"

She landed with a thud and she managed to keep her balance in the process. After grabbing the mallet, she made a face and rolled her eyes at Psy.

"Of course, my queen," her voice edged with sarcasm.

Eyeing the course, and vaguely remembering from the story that the red queen is a poor sport xd :, she used one hand and swung the mallet around in a full circle. It hot the ball with a satisfying thunk and rolled about 20 feet.

"Next!" She shouted to no one in particular, and pulled out her flask for a fortifying sip of vodka.

Carefully looks around to be absolutely positive her guests have all taken their turn…waiting patiently a bit for anyone else to step forward. Seeing no takers, she again approaches the starting position and points to the divet of red snow. Kyle hands a red ball to the Minotaur who drops the ball exactly where the Queen of Hearts points. She holds out her hand and the beast kneels before the Queen raising both hands offering the red mallet to her majesty. She takes it, You may rise emotion_eyebrow she states to the Minotaur who takes his position directly behind his Mistress to shield her from any unforeseen harm.

Peering down the vast red courtyard, she gets irritated at seeing all those little green specks of vermin running amok. stare Artistically speaking, Green is on the opposite end of the color spectrum from Red so seeing these vermin sport this particular hue in her presence tries her royal temperament which she’s doing her best to keep in check in front of her guests. By specifically making a croquet rule to eliminate this green abomination…pure genius. wink

She places her mallet carefully next to the red ball. Looks down the courtyard again then back to the ball. Brings her mallet way back and swings as hard as she can missing the ball completely and literally whacking the minotaur behind her right in the side of the head. eek The beast snorts and staggers a little as the Queen turns right around and throws her mallet to the ground. She takes both hands and tries to shove the beast. O…M…G… JUST BACK UP!! BACK UP AND GIVE A ME SOME ROOM!!! MY GOD!! I CAN’T EVEN BREATHE!!! scream stressed The Minotaur backs up and bows very low to her majesty.

The Queen starts to mutter to herself in Italian as she goes back to the game at hand. stressed She again tries to aim and spins completely around as she misses her red ball. Again she swings and misses…and again…and again…and again … until she gets to frustrated she flings her mallet in whatever direction, picks up her red ball and throws it as she screams a long string of very “creative” Italian obscenities that would make any hard core sailor proud. evil scream evil

She then takes a minute to collect her composure. She turns to the Minotaur accompanying her. Find it! scream talk2hand

Everyone else claps politely as Psy struggles to get the game going. I thought it was a mighty excellent swing Your Majesty Hatter declared.

Kiss a**. Hare whispered. xp

Hare stayed silent after that. Meanwhile the little enchanted ball that was a hedgehog ended up pushing the Queens original ball into the snow burying it and rolled up in where the ball had landed. The minotaur not seeing the switch hastily grabs the "ball" and runs back to his queen.
