It didn't take long for Kyo to finish his soup, and now he sat and waited for Giki-san to finish. The sound of rain still echoed all over the house in a melodious rhythm and lightning lit up many rooms. He tensed, but said nothing about it.

Gikishou soon finished and soon got to work on the dishes, finishing and hugging him warmly. "Come on, let's go in the living room. I want to see if you'll like disney movies. Not very accurate, historically, but cute."

"Disney movies?" Kyo repeated, trying to remember what Giki-san meant. "You mean cartoons and animations inspired by Walt Disney?" That was he knew about Disney movies so far.

Gikishou nodded. "Exactly." He brought him into the living room and wrapping a blanket around him, going and putting in pocahontas.

Kyo sat on the couch, staring intently at the television screen as the movie began. He was a little excited, since he had only seen few Disney movies and most of those that he had seen weren't even cartoons.

Gikishou smiled and cuddled up with him while the movie played, ending eventually with a shot to the chest and sailing back to england. "So what did you think?"

"It's okay, I guess," Kyo said. "It's very interesting, but is this okay to be shown to kids? It seems a bit... violent." Then again, there wasn't a lot of violence to it either, so maybe it was okay for children.

"Aside from towards the end, there isn't much. Even when people get shot it's dramatized and there isn't any blood. THey put in a bit of violence so that children won't like that violence, and won't do what caused the violence, like shooting guns or discriminating against people. At least, that's the idea.

"I guess it makes sense," Kyo said, "and everybody would want a bit of drama in a movie. Everything would be boring otherwise." Well, that was what he could guess. He actually didn't know about why there was violence in movies.

Gikishou shook his head. :The drama makes it interesting. This is based on things that actually happened... with a few tweaks. The pilgrims got violent upon finding no gold and also when the natives refused to give them more food, because they'd starve if they did."

"A few tweaks?" Kyo repeated. "You mean changes, right? I suppose it's true that this movie is that way. A lot of Disney movies are, right?" He wasn't sure if the settlers were really called pilgrims. In the times of the first Thanksgiving, there were pilgrims. He had always thought of the settlers who made Jamestown as just settlers, not really pilgrims.

((they're the same thing, actually ^^ wink )
Gikishou nodded. "Right. Anyway, there are some that have a bit more comedy in them too. Like... Mulan." He said, smiling. "It's set in ancient China."

(*shrug* I might as well take your word for it.)
Kyo's eyes brightened then. Anything about China really delighted him. "Right, I know that story. It's about a girl who goes to the army, right?" he asked.

((the first settlers settled in massachusetts, and were settlers TECHNICALLY, but were called pilgrims.))

(I see. Heheh, a history lesson on Gaia. XD)
"We can watch tomorrow," Kyo said. "It's getting a bit late, don't you think?" Even now the rain poured heavily and it was incredibly dark outside. If anything, the day was practically over.
