They came to me and gave me a brochure. From what I gathered, no magic/fantasy stuff allowed and it's supposed to be a historical re-enactment while getting rid of the stuff that made the medieval era unpleasant (burning people at the stake and oppression of women).

Most of the people there were actually doing handicrafts, like spinning, leatherwork, etc.

It's still extremely nerdy, but at least they were making an attempt to differentiate themselves from stereotypical LARPers with foam swords, magic beanbags and cardboard armor.

Anyways, they put on a good show, kind of like what you'd see at Medieval Times restaurants without the food and flashy effects.

I can appreciate the weird look though. He's not very good looking, more like odd, but I find it quite interesting. And I think most of the time interesting is better than just looking pretty. But that's just me neutral
