Lily nodded gravely, playing along with Remus. "You definitely stepped in it this time."
"I didn't mean it like that, Love," Sirius protested. "I just meant that... that... I don't know, but whatever I meant, it doesn't apply to you."

"Yep sounded like it to me too."
Remus decided he teased Sirius long enough and gave him a kiss. "You better not tell anyone you don't plan on marrying me ever again though."

Sirius nodded, his eyes wide like a little kid that had just been promised the end of a belt if he didn't behave. "I love you, Remus," he murmured.

Just then, Professor Flitwick climbed on top of his stack of books and started the lesson. When he had left them on their own to practice, Lily nudged James. "Go on," she prompted. "Go talk to him."

"Right now? i thought you meant after class." But James got up and went to the front of the room. He told Professor Flitwick what happened last night.

Professor Flitwick just laughed squeakily and put a hand on James's shoulder from where he was perched on his stack of books. "I wouldn't worry about it, Mr. Potter. It was probably your friend reacting in a rare show of his true emotions. I doubt it'll happen again after your reaction."

Lily looked flabbergasted. "You're kidding," she exclaimed, incredulous. "A student Imperiused him, or he attacked you, and Flitwick just brushed it off?!"
Sirius's expression matched Lily's. "You've got to be joking, mate. I mean, yeah. You and I pull pranks, but the teachers have to know we wouldn't joke about something like that. Maybe we should go directly to Dumbledore instead?"

"Yeah somehow if we supect our friends or being bad or being under a curse Voldemort wins. I'm not sure how that works. So yeah we should probably go to Dumbledore about this. I'm sure he'll believe us."

Lily nodded and went back to working on the charm they were supposed to be practicing. "I still can't believe Professor Flitwick didn't believe you."
Sirius shook his head. "I can't either," he agreed. "He's always seemed like a dependable teacher."

Remus shook his head. "Maybe he's just afraid to think that something bad could actully happen in the school. We are supose to be safe here."

Sirius snorted. "So, basically, he's being just like everyone else and cowering before the great and powerful Lord Voldemort. Well, one thing is for sure, he'll never get me on his side. Not even if he Imperiuses me."
Lily looked startled when Sirius said Voldemort's name and at his declaration. "That's a death wish, you know. Openly proclaiming something like that."
