I joined both an Asatru group and a Heathens Against Hate group on MySpace. It seems like whenever anyone posts on either one of those groups, it's a bash on either Wicca, Christianity, or both--and not even valid reasons, mostly "Wicca stole our holidays!" "Christianity almost wiped us out!" and "I have every right to hate Christians and Wiccans! Both are spiritual nonsense!!!!"
Of course, when I ask anyone to prove their assertions or explain why they feel that way, I get no answer (except for one guy, who pretty much said that heathens are SUPPOSED to hate Christians. I didn't realize bigotry was a requirement when I signed up... stressed ).
I'm considering starting a new Asatru group, but A.) I'm still not as educated as I should be in the religion, and B.) Nobody will probably join, because my rules will be very strict for when it comes to the matters mentioned above.
I considered quitting both groups, but then again there ARE a few very well-rounded and intelligent people in both whose insight I would miss. Then again, I could stay and fight the good fight (so to speak) until enough people get heated with me and I get thrown out. Any ideas on how I should go about this?

Sovereign of Darkness TeaDidikai Tsuzuki Be prepared to banish a lot. It would be a challenge. How hard do you think it would be to get rid of the demons of lackluster theological revisionism? I doubt that the goetic greater curse of YHVH could even suffice...because, of course, that belongs to the dark side rolleyes It makes me wonder- If Deo ran around waving the Havamal and yelling- if it could drive the stupidity from the woman and thus she would have an understanding of Hospitality? talk2hand

missmagpie Yar! I shall fight thee, Seal Clubber, with the terrible force of me Terrapin Tamer! Fear me turtle!
Actually, I am a Turtle Tamer this run and I started out as one. But I had to conclude that Seal Clubbers probably made much better pirates than any other class. We TTs, well, it just means we have transportation, really. The Moxious? Pfft. They're too slick. They're more interested in charming and cheating than crass plundering. Mystics all have their noses stuck in either a pot or a book. Pirates probably wouldn't be much of a threat to them, 'cause if they're made to walk to plank, they could freeze the water then set the ship on fire. And the greedy ones are all pursuing wealth via merchandising of their skills. Seal Clubbers, yep, that's where it's at for the pirating-inclined. I can hear the women lamenting already.
Henry Dorsett Case Psh. Pastamancer/Sauceror teams are the only reason you keep moving. That's right, who makes your Hell Ramen? (My ex-wife and I actually had a Pastamancer-Sauceror team back during one of the KoL economy resets - we made so much meat...)
^ Case in point regarding Mysticality folks. [/pun]
But seriously, ooohhh! Other KoLers!
