Dodging Kazuki, Emma continued down the field. She was almost to the goal and then she could take her shot. Like always it was a matter of getting there first. However the fourth year remained optimistic.

Zeph stepped onto the pitch, already looking to see if anyone had arrived yet. They hadn't, and Zeph settled into getting the pitch ready for tryouts. Hopefully there were enough players and they weren't scrambling like last year, but Zeph had a feeling that was wishful thinking. In any case, he got the forms prepared and sat back, waiting for people to arrive and for who he had figured on choosing for vice captain to show up. Again, this was going to be painful.

 Location : Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff Try-outs
Emma walked onto the pitch with a high level of optimism. She’d been to every single game last year and proved she was made for the Hufflepuff team. If anything she should make the team as starting chaser. Someone needed to step in for Rider since she graduated. Who better than her right? Not that she felt like she was better than anyone else. That wasn’t her style. Though, she did hope that Hannah and her got on the team together this year. That way they could be a star duo. Holding her broom at her side, Emma was surprised to see Zeph there so early and with the equipment. With Layton’s lack of appearance last year she probably should be so surprised.
The only other person there was Melody, a second year who had joined the team last year. She was a seeker with memory served Emma. Joining the two she gave them both a wave and a smile. “Hello Zeph, Melody.” She greeted as she grabbed a forum. After filling it out she took to doing her stretches like usual routine.

Hannah wanted very much to feel confident at their chances this year of getting the Cup, but she really couldn't. Her own performance on the pitch last term wasn't exactly the stuff of sports legend, but with their veteran Seeker stepping down, unless they got lucky they'd be on the outside looking in again. She also hadn't heard whom Zeph was picking for his Vice Captain, and Hannah doubted he'd call her name; her performance last year couldn't have inspired much confidence in him, and she knew she was getting a bit of a rep as a slacker. Still, today was the first day of the season, and with that there was always hope and the promise of great things.
The slim fifteen year old was wearing a pair of faded jeans, and sneakers with black and yellow striped shoelaces capped with golden badger charms, under a large bright yellow Tee-shirt with the words 'Badger Pride' in large black lettering. Her long indigo hair was pulled back into its usual ponytail and tied off with Hufflepuff hair ribbons, and another pair of badger charms.
Walking out to the pitch she saw Zeph, Emma and Mel were already there, and she said, "Hey, guys," to them as she collected a form from Zeph to fill out.

Location : Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff Try-outs
The moment Candace found out about Quidditch she had to join. It was a sport and she loved sport! Even if she sucked horribly and was bound to get herself killed trying to play such a deadly sport. Regardless she wasn’t about to let that stop her. With the support of her friends on the sidelines she knew she’d do well… or at least try to do well. Walking right up to the group of lots of older students she took a breath. “Hello, I’d like to try-out. Though I warn you, I’ve never played and before I came to this school, I never knew Quidditch existed. So, I might suck horribly but I’d still like to try.” She told the group of three.
With that random outburst on her feelings, Candace took a forum before muddling through it. She didn’t really know much but anything but she could try. “I’m Candace by the way. Friends call me Ace or Candy.” She introduced as she handed back her forum. Hey, at least she hadn’t tripped into anyone! That was a positive so far. With that she stretched a bit knowing that when you were going to play a sport it was good to be loose.
