Lily giggled and pulled her bag more securely on her shoulder. "All right, then. Lead the way," she invited, wrapping an arm around James's waist.

James wrapped an arm around Lily's waist as they made their way to charms. He was so happy he could hardly believe that he was walking to class with Lily holding her. "Hey Lily. So does you're friend's approval mean we're dating now?"

"Yeah you might be right about that." He smiled at her which disappeared at he next question. "Well I didn't get hurt. Peter tried to attack me but I stopped him."

Lily stopped short in surprise. "No way. Peter Pettigrew attacked you? Why? Was he under a curse or was of his own volition?"

Lily's brow furrowed in concentration and concern. "It's not possible at all that he was acting of his own accord? You know the saying about the quiet ones. And if he wasn't acting alone, and you can't figure out who in the school would have done it, perhaps there's been a breach in all the different security measures all the professors have put around the school. You should tell a teacher about this, James. This is serious."

"Lily I doubt if there was a breach that I would be the only attacked through Peter. Remus is probably right and it was just Malfoy trying to get back at me and Peter for the prank that was pulled on him the other day."
