My fella and I are rebuilding a 1938 Ford Coupe - FINALLY got the engine this week (Boss 302 5.0L w/375 hp - 2008 Mustang) Gawd help us the first time the wheels and the acelerator interact. It is a thing of beauty. We have always sort of called the car Mr. Coupe or '38 special (long story for another post) but would like to have something a bit more endearing. Anyone have any ideas? It will be metallic dark grey (same color now just needs small amounts of body work and a fresh paint job) Doggie's name is Daisy and she manages to get in almost every shot I take.

How about "The Silver Streak", or better yet "Old Man Coupe"?
BTW, Daisy looks to be of a hound dog nature, maybe a beagle?

Daisy is a Bassett Hound, and she has a boy Bassett named Fred. Can't tell them apart unless you look 'under the hood' so to speak.
Fred needs a new home, he wanders and can't get into his head to stay home. This is a very rural area and he gets into trouble everytime he wanders off.
Old Man Coupe --- I like that, give the impression that it will creak and moan but it will have a kick and a snarl in real life!

I was thinking Daisy might be a Basset Hound! I just couldn't see the long ears very well, and the breed was eluding my mind! The only thing I could think of was the "Hush Puppy" dog (a brand of shoes originating here in Michigan) or a beagle (which also has black included in their colors).
Hounds are "scent" dogs. They have a tendency to follow their noses, and quite often can loose their way back home. Has Fred ever gotten himself lost? Maybe you could try one of those electronic "fence-less yard collar" thingies? That could get expensive though.
Glad you like "Old Man Coupe"! I thought it might be a fitting name! 3nodding

Fred on the other hand has a ton of kids to play with so he gets off his chain a lot. both are well cared for. wink

Harbone I'm sooo lost. I haven't been well for a bit. Uh, oh... do you need someone to find you? *Hands you some chicken noodle soup sans the chicken and the noodles.* Perhaps you'd prefer a Whiskey Sour.

No... I just had a psychological blow that's left me questioning why I bother doing anything at all. I'm still recouperating... trying to find some... sense of joy. Some reason to do things. I just made the hardest pizza I've ever had to make in my life. I mean, I questioned why I took each step of the process... Well, I normally do that, but I've always had answers before - wait!
I'm remembering my Existentialism! Oh yeah. I forgot. Everything's pointless anyway... and I ENJOY a good pizza... only this isn't so good of a pizza... Well, at least I got enough oomph to get it out of the oven.
Thanks for the imaginary soup.
