FoxAnime Blind_Green_Panda I remember i was reading Boy Princess, Loveless, and Gravitation in Barnes & Noble one day and i was trying so hard to not let anyone see. Then i heard my mom's voice somewhere and i started scrambling to put them all back. I wish i could meet other BL fans (boy or girl). It would be nice to not be alone 3nodding me and my mom and all my siblings went to Borders for the first time together a couple of months ago. i went instantly to the manga section and started reading loveless. my parents have "banned" anime and manga at my house because it's "bad". but i don't give a care. i get it wherever i can. anyway, i read an entire manga (loveless 2) and i moved quickly away because i didn't want my mom to catch me there. i didn't care if people saw me reading it. personally, i don't think anybody there really understood the spirit of anime and i was mad because they were posers. scream
I feel your pain. My family has banned anime and manga, but I sneak it in. I don't know why they don't like it.

Unfortunately, my local bookstore's selection of yaoi is pretty much non-existant, so it's hard to spot fellow yaoi fans. The closest thing they've ever gotten was one, and only one, copy of Gravitation. I nearly passed out in shock when I saw it, and then I grabbed it and practically flew to the cash register. However, we do have a rather lovely online ordering system where you can buy books and have them shipped to the store from the warehouse, so thats how I purchase most of my yaoi manga.
I do have a sort of funny story though. Once, I was at an anime convention in a city a couple of hours away from where I live, and I was browsing through the yaoi section in the dealers room. There was a couple girls around me looking through them too, and then suddenly this cute little boy, wearing a little leopard tail and ears, who couldn't have been older then 8 or 9, comes walking up with his Mom. He stands next to me, kinda poking through the manga, then pulls out the first volume of Yellow and hands it to his mom and asks, "Mom, can I get this one?" And his Mom looks at it for a second, reads the back, and then says, "Sure honey!" and BUYS IT FOR HIM! And he walks off reading it with this big smile on his face.
Oh god, I couldn't believe it. I wish my mom was like that. xd

Oooh, I practically live in the bookstore! It's the cure for boredom!(and I live right by it...) whee I mean, I'm too poor to buy all the books/manga/porn(that's not in there! ninja ) I want. And there are chairs all over the place, not to mention a coffe shop, so it's not like they care.
Just the other night, I saw one my friends there, and he came up and was all like "Hi!" and of course he had to see what I was reading! So he was looking through my stack of books, (andhe kept saying the art was bad! mad Was not! Well...mabye in a few.) and he comes across Petshop of Horrors vol.2,(the cover picture is Count.D and that mermaid) and he was like,"Is that a girl? xd I bet you're reading yuri!" and I was all," No! That's a guy in a dress!"
"Like that's any better."
Really, I could go on forever about all the stuff that's happened in there! And no offense to people who like yuri; it's just not my cup of tea.
