Well
in 1990 there was this whole dance style and that is where I got my idea!
I was first gonna do the guy from 'The Thong Song" but uh, Tektek didn't have the right clothes, etc.

'Tis how I remember kids in the 90s (well, in England at least, not so sure about you Americans). I was a kid in the 90s.

Okay... what decade wasn't incredibly tacky as far as fashion? Even nowadays things can get pretty lame as far as fashion goes. I heart the 90s. smile

I would enter, but I know nothing about style from the 1990s, as I was born in the early 1990s. I remember the 1990 clothing as overalls with butterflies and cute little knitted hats, becuase that's what I was wearing.

Lead make-up, heels for men. Fun. smile lol

Actually, a lot of ho-couture(sp?) trends are based off of Victorian fashion. For women at least. Men's fashion has become kind of stagnant. It's sad, really. I know this because of my own facination and my friend wants to go into fashion. I might partner up with him. smile

The 'Rachel' haircut
The 'do' that Jennifer Aniston who played Rachel on TV's Friends wore. Everyone had it - it was the 90's equivalent of the Farrah look.

Back-Pack Purses
Exactly what the name describes; a miniture back-pack used as a purse.

Flannel shirts
Grungy, flannel shirts from dad's closet worn over concert T-shirts to complete the whole "grunge" ensemble.

Platforms
Shoes with large thick heels on them very similar to the look of the 60's and 70's. Some were made of plastic and some made of cork, even wood.

Baggy Jeans
Worn by both girls and boys, the baggier the better

Fishing Hats
Floppy cotton hats like the type that have been popular with fishermen for years. Came in an assortment of colors, kaki, tan, cream...The brim nearly covered the wearer's eyes.

Adidas Windpants
Light windpants. Made noises everytime you moved. Came in a bunch of colors with a white or black stripe down the side. Also had button down ones.

~i remember 90's fashion sooo well <33333
the blossom hats with the front brim flipped up and flowers on it, i had a hat like that...
fanny packs and boOkbag purse, i had some lol
ultra baggy jeans
adidas
airwalks
grunge
butterfly hair clips
