Zerul nods. "ok then. just relax and focus on what you want to achieve and if you do your best it will happen." He gives her a reasuring smile and a thumbs up.

Mi'ra nodded almost absentmindedly "We should c-continue. The roads are not safe at night" she said stepping away from Zerul and walking on the path.She started to walk in silence once more.

Zerul follows her. he was fine with the silence. but he knew something was bothering her.

Mi'ra walked ahead of Zerul, softly tugging at her hair as she walked. Her eyes seeming unfocused as she spun the lock of hair slowly. Her mind was racing creating good and bad scenarios of what could happen to them not only on the walk but also in the village and on the hunt for the animals.

Zerul had his hand on his sword. something was bugging him but he wasn't sure what it was. He looks around keeping an eye out for any beast that might try to attack them.

Mi'ra slowed and shook her head, pausing a moment she blinked and looked abut confused. Seeing Zerul she inhaled deeply "We should be a little over half way now right?" she asked. Walking again she looked along the road "I didnt think the road would be this bare"

Zerul's attention was elsewhere when she was talking. they were being followed. something was hidding in the woods. he was having issues seeing it even with the aura ring equiped. then it appeared. swooping in from above a large mantis. Zerul managed to get infront of it and blocks its razor sharp arms with his sword.

Mi'ra noticed the movement only when the creature decided to approach them. Surprised at first she blinked at the creature. Her next instinct was to throw a small dagger at it, with its mean of blocking them occupied for the moment and it being a distance away from her still she slipped out a two daggers and with one hand she threw one towards it hoping to attract its attention away from Zerul now

the dager bounced off its chitin armor as it hissed at Zerul trying to bite him. "Mantis armor is quite strong you have to aim for the spots between the plates." He was doing his best to keep the creature at bay.

"im sorry my aims bad" Mi'ra said with a frown. She dd only train with dummy's and her current target was moving a bit allowing opening to close constantly making finding a target harder. Inhaling she attempted once more hoping the opening would stay so till the blade hit the target ed leg.

Zerul slides under the creature and using the wide part of the blade knocks the creature off balance and it collapses to the floor. he made an opening for her to try again.

As Zerul slid under the creature Mi'ra moved closer worried. As he made the opening she grasped a blade attached to her belt and close enough now she drove it into its mark.

The mantis lets out a screech as the blade hits its mark. it tries to swipe at Mi'ra but Zerul gets infront and blocks it again. It tries to stand and crush Zerul under it. "I hate these things!
 

[Krazy Kuni]

"I used to like them" Mi'ri said as she looked at the creature "But this one.... I have an idea". Mi'ra took a few steps back and jumped on the ground hoping the vibrations would grab it attention for a moment. The animals relied on sight mostly but if she could draw its attention through vibrations it may distract the creature enough to allow Zerul to pull away. Or at the least she could attempt to throw her third dagger and blind it.

The mantis' antenna moves as she jumps up and down. it notices her jumping and screeches at her. its wings come out as it was going to leap at he. Zerul takes this moment and quickly slices one of its arms off. it flies up screeching before it decides to divebomb them with its one good arm. it was going for Mi'ra.
