By Bahamut he could talk! It was like a miracle after getting the silent treatment for so long Geno had began to wonder if he had accidentally cast Silence on the man without realizing it. Of course that wouldn't make any sense given that he had clearly been using magic this whole time and Silence would have prevented that. Maybe he just didn't like having fun or something during a magical duel between spellcasters. It would explain why he was such a bad guy after all. Though he really didn't seem to enjoy the whole long range combat thing either. Maybe he was more of an Eldrich Knight than a pure caster like Geno. That would likely explain his behavior so far in the fight. Being a multiclassed fighter/mage hybrid seemed a lot more in line as he nodded, watching the man jump up and push through his fire spell. "Shell? Or perhaps a fire resistance spell...?" He mused to himself curiously as the man closed the gap, cleaving through the attack as Geno closed his hand, ending the attack while the man came up to his level in the air. Fire was done and this guy was starting to become an issue with this up close bullshit as he flipped through his spellbook again.
Once they were close to each other, Geno held out his hand and smirked. "Blizzara!" He shouted, using a new spell as his palm blasted out a sudden burst of freezing air directly towards the man a moment before his own attack. The freezing effect would likely put some more damage on the man before the electrical shockwave suddenly blasted out and blasted the young lad across the sky and quite a bit away. He'd be coughing up blood this time as the ice spell only slightly mitigated the incoming force but at least he was able to freeze over the man's arms a little bit before it hit. As he flew back, he'd soon enough land back upon the docks just near the edge of what had been shattered by the first instance of that shockwave attack. Three'd be a thud as he grunted. "Well that sure hurt a lot...Gonna need a lot of potions for that..." He chuckled softly, getting back up to his feed as spit out some blood, looking quite a bit beat up from that attack. "Heh, you know, that was really quite impressive!" He shouted up to the man still in the air above him. "Ordinarily, I'd offer you up a chance to be partners after such a display of power but I'm afraid the position has already been filled and quite frankly I'm afraid I'm starting to worry her so I'll have to bring the fun to an end you see."
Geno was smiling still for a man that likely had a small amount of internal bleeding at least from that direct blast, but he was still confident as he raised his hand to the sky. He opened up his book again with his left as the air about him started to flow again. "I'm sure you may have noticed the pattern thus far, but I'm afraid the scale is not so uniform!" He called up to the man, smirking as he channeled more power than ever before."See you may have missed it, but it's still here, hard at work as we speak~" He grinned as he locked his eyes on his target. "Building up what I needed to land a finishing blow and I think it's about ready finally~" What he was on about wa anyone's guess as the man would suddenly hear a rolling sound of thunder above him. Geno's staff never came back down when he had thrown it up. That was because it had propelled itself up after the command was used and it had been spewing out the energy needed to keep itself spinning upwards, creating the now absolutely massive thundercloud that was just overhead. It would even begin to suddenly pour down rain as it began to make everything wet, starting with Geno's opponent still in the air. "Thundaja..." He spoke the spell name, using a tier above even that of an 'aga' tier spell while he threw down his hand. At his command, the long overcharged thundercloud that had been building up this entire time would unleash the full fury of countless lightning bolts being unleashed upon the wet and airborne target.
Thunderous booms would echo over the area as the most powerful lightning spell in Geno's arsenal was unleashed in it's fully unrestricted form upon his opponent. Dozens of lightning bolts would rain down, striking the man and barraging him with bolt after mighty bolt. Even his protection spell would eventually cave under the sheer force of a few let alone the onslaught being unleashed upon the man. As the flurry would continue for several moments before the staff in question would finally descend. Geno reached up to adjust his glasses properly reaching up to catch his magic staff above his head as the rain came down. He closed his spellbook and set it inside the bag at his hip and smiled to himself. His opponent would likely be falling onto the ice sheet by now and if Geno were some kind of Marine he'd care enough to go and confirm the body was fully immobilized and arrest him or something. But he was content with his victory for now as he hopped off the docks and onto the ice, wincing as the landing agitated his injuries. He walked towards the edge where the ship was. "Samantha, I think we're good to get going now. Sorry if I had you worried or anything." He smiled up to her, holding his side as he grunted a bit, jumping once more with his boots as he winced from the force of landing back on the deck near her. He snapped his fingers to turn off the battle music he ha prepared and offered her a smile despite the blood still running down his chin after that shockwave hit him. "Are you alright...?"
