Marcus had been recalled to his pokeball after the girls had realized carrying him made them tire faster. Neither girl really knew where the end of the trail was, or when they'd hit the next city. Dana knew it meant she was nervous or thinking about something and so opted not to interrupt her. Instead Dana turned inwards, chasing after the thoughts that had sprouted ever since Sana had mentioned contests. They were supposed to share the poplio but Dana could already tell it would belong a lot more to Sana. Sure it could help her when she did water research, but Sana was the one picking the moves it learned. It makes sense, she thought tapping her fingers on her tighs a specific number of times. It was destiny. "Yeah, yeah yeah. It can help me with research...like...digging and scouting and stuff" Sana took in the answer then took out her pokeball. "Aright then...first battle. Dana looked at Sana, waiting for her to make the call. "um..okay. Alright, Poplio use water gun" she told it after thinking through her options. The water pokemon did as told and shot off a spout of water that hit the Alolan rat square in the face. "Nice" "Well I have to get used to giving it orders don't I?" Sana said putting the finished flower crown on. Before they could say anything else, the Rattata used quick attack runing at the poplio and hitting it with a loud thump. Marcus cried out in pain and Sana froze. This wasn't supposed to happen. This wasn't the plan. She hadn't been expecting that what- "Use Pound, use pound, use pound"Dana said before the rattata could attack again. Marcus did as told, wacking the rattata with it's tail multiple times. "Throw the pokeball Dana"Sana said tossing the device at her twin. Dana caught it and tossed it at the rattata, watching it move around with baited breath.

It sized everyone around it up, getting ready to attack again and hit the water type with another tail whip. "Throw another one"Dana called out. Sana nodded and retreived another pokeball from her pack. They really should start carrying them in both their bags. Maybe they could distribute them more evenly. Once they got out of this mess. Finding another pokeball, Sana threw it, chuking it straight at the Rattata instead of passing it to her sister like before. The rattata hissed at it was engulfed in red light and sucked into the ball. "Why didn't it hold before" "Well I certainly don't know" "Well I certainly hope this one does"

"Here, give him this" Sana took the potion from her twin and applied to Marcus, biting her lip when she saw the pokemon get better. It was weird, both girls had been exposed to battling. Seeing a pokemon get hurt shouldn't get to her, Sana thought. But it did.

Terence walked back into route one, there wasn't much to see considering that he spent most of this time earlier with Misa looking around. He had seen a lot of this area from back then and he had to wonder if Misa was still some where around here. Takumi had blinked awake long before they reached the station. His blond hair feathered against the glass of the window. He hadn't had the presence of mind to sit with his good eye facing the window; he wasn't used to it yet. He had to turn his whole head to look out so he satisfied himself with the window across the aisle. Once they arrived he returned Nala to her pokeball and made his way toward the lab.
Takumi slipped inside, ragecandybar already in hand. "Hey. I heard you'll trade a pokemon for one of these." Kukui was still downstairs, and when he was greeted with a "hey cousin" Takumi growled, "I'm not your cousin." He was pleased with the choices this time around and chose the cute strong-looking rowlett. "I'll take this one." And then, because he was feeling nice, he added, "Thanks."

There was no going to Heahea anymore. That would be the first place Jonathan looked for him, and probably with an army of police at his beck and call. It wasn't like he didn't already know where honey came from but seeing it was a different story. "Your kid wants you to brush his hair" Saru paused confused for a moment glancing to Chibi who'ed turned red in the face with a slack-jawed expression. "No I don't!" Chibi snapped but Saru thought otherwise. Chibi was still very young and hadn't had anyone since his family he could truly attach himself to on any emotional level. Dallas looked over at Chibi, who was raring to do something. "Do something, kid," he taunted. And, just as he thought, Chibi backed off. Especially after viewing Queen Bee making honey. The thug almost laughed at him, if he wasn't so busy trying to withhold his laughter from Saru. "Wait a minute...you didn't..holy crap, you didn't realize I was...PFFTHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Dallas burst out into ridiculously obnoxious laughter, pointing at the oblivious Master Saru. "Y-y-you've been walking around this whole time...like a total tool! Hehehe, and you didn't realize what you were being...oh geez, that's just too much! I'm can't breathe!"
Dallas kept laughing, and started to walk backwards, holding his sides. He ended up bumping into a tree, and out of said tree fell a Metapod, dangling from a single thread of silk. Dallas looked at it curiously right before it wiggled enough in its cocoon to swing at Dallas' face. "Hey!" Dallas ducked, and looked to Buns. Alright, Buns, let's take this joker out!...Buns?"
Buns had hopped over and hid behind Chibi as soon as the bug arrived. Apparently, she was still a bit too timid for a fight just yet. Dallas was too busy watching her, and ended up getting whacked by the Metapod's heavy body. "Ow! Okay then! Beltigre, let's get em!" The Litten didn't waste any time; as soon as she was sent out, she jumped into air and..licked the Metapod. Dallas wasn't sure what her game plan was, but the Metapod froze in place, and plopped onto the ground with a thud, twitching slightly. "Huh, looks like you paralyzed it, girl. Well, no point in beatin' it while it's down." Dallas casually grabbed a free pokeball from his bag, and practically dropped it on the Metapod, which didn't struggle as it was caught.
"Aw yeah, that's how we do it! Good job, Beltigre!" Dallas gave Beltigre a pat on the head, and she purred happily. Meanwhile, Buns came out from behind Chibi to investigate. Dallas returned Buns at that point, figuring she could use a rest for the time being, and scooped up the Metapod's ball. "Alright, done n' done. So, where're you nerds heading next?"

Luna closed the door to Professor Kukui's lap behind her. In her arms, was a Popplio, her new team member. She looked down at the cute, doggish mermaid Pokemon. Their eyes connected, causing Popplio to 'Bwork!' with excitement. Pichu hopped up and climbed up the side of Luna's body, causing Luna to brace for pain as the Pichu's tiny, but sharp, claws helped it get onto Luna's shoulder.
Luna looked over to her Pichu with some disdain as she walked away from the Pokemon Lab. "Don't you think you should be a little nicer to me? Your tiny paws are so sharp!" Pichu gave Luna a smug grin with a shrug. "Piiii~?"
Luna rolled her eyes as she made her way down a small hill. She sat at the edge of it, looking onward to trainers wandering the area. Her eyes were caught by some trainers referring to their Pokemon by nicknames. Luna pondered for a moment. "You know, calling you Pichu and Popplio is sort of boring, huh? Would you guys like nicknames?" "Bwork!!!" "Chuu!!" came the reactions from her Pokemon. They were certainly delighted at the idea. Luna gave a big smile. "Awesome! Hmm, what should I name you too... how about... Spot," Luna pointed to Pichu, "and Sparky?" Luna pointed to Popplio. "Pi??? Pi..." The Pichu shook her head, disappointed entirely with her trainer. "Pi!! Pi!!!" "Bwork!!!" Popplio seemed overjoyed with any name she would be given. "Okay, okay... how about... Ava for Pichu!" Pichu nodded, pleased with a better name. Luna and Pichu looked over to Popplio, who was happy rolling around in the ground. "Since you are Alolan... it would make sense to give you an Alolan name, right Ava?" "Pi, Pi," Pichu nodded. "How about..." Luna rubbed Popplio's belly as it presented to her. "Kaliko? I don't remember what it means, but I always thought it was a pretty sounding name." "!" Popplio jumped up and licked Luna's face repeated. Luna chuckled as she struggled against the slimey kisses. "Okay, okay!"
After a short playtime with Ava and Kaliko, Luna figured she should finally reach out to her cousin, Lana. Their mothers had conspired to have Luna travel with Lana. Luna's mom was very adamant about this, and would not relent, worried that Luna would be kidnapped or robbed or whatever else horrors existed in her mother's mind. Luna rolled her eyes just thinking about it. Why send her on a journey, yet be so worried about Luna being alone? It made little sense to the young girl. Luna pulled out her phone and brought up Lana's contact info. The picture she used for Lana was somewhat old. Probably taken from the last time they had physically inhabited the same spot. She did like Lana, thought Lana was very outdoorsy and Luna was very not-outdoorsy. At least this is the impression Luna had with her cousin. She spent a long time contemplating how they were causing while she rung up Lana.
Whenever Lana answered, Luna would wait for Lana to say a greeting, and reply, "Hey Lana, er, alola. It's Luna. I'm here, um, I think I'm on route one on Melemele Island," Luna fumbled with her Pokedex as the Pichu and Popplio played on the ground in front of her. "I guess we should meet up!"

►Saru waited for Dallas to catch up. It was becoming quite clear he wasn't the person he made himself out to be. He was too tentative to his Pokemon to be the selfish p***k Saru had first assume him to be. Chibi, on the other hand, was growing quite disdained with the man. Especially for the "daddy" comments. Chibi even considered launching himself on the man's back and pummeling his head as hard as he could. Two things stopped him. One, Dallas would murder him in seconds and two, his teachings to use force only as a last resort. If he showed he wasn't ready to travel with Saru he could have him sent back to the temple. Being sent back to that boring place wasn't high on the to-do list so Chibi would have to Grin-&-bear, for now.
