I honestly didn't care who was paired with who, as long as they loved each other. That was when I was little... xP

Would you beleive me if I told you my best friends little sister was the one who made me like yaoi? Unknowingly at that... That, a fanfiction and Otakon 2005. 22,000 people carrying yaoi paddles around and squeeling about yaoi is anough to convert anyone! xd

(Please do not be offended)
When I first started I was a homophobe. Because that was the way my parents brought me up. My mom even had this talk with me when i was nine about why homosexuality is bad. (( scream )) Anyway... I met by best friend and she showed me a hardcore yaoi picture, I screamed and yelled, and had a fit. BUT, my friend being as persistant as she was, kept showing my pics, and told me about things that gay's went through and stuff. eventually, (like in a week) I turn to the "dark side" as my friends put it. blaugh And now I love her to bits because of it! heart

Hmm... I may have posted here before, but oh welL! xd
Yes, at first I was a bit squeamish. I remember that I even wrote a crack fic about everyone falling in love with this one guy (other guys included, but that was just for humor's sake) Sadly, I was one of those kids that bashed gayness... But I've changed!!!

I never actually hated it. When I was younger, I supported it, I just didn't want to see it... That was also the age that the kissing scenes in movies made me cover my eyes.
Then, both the kissy scenes in movies and yaoi started to grow on me. Now I'm obsessed. ^_^ and proud of it too.

I was never grossed out by it. I had just never seen it. And when a friend showed it to me, I got hooked. Im sure that before that I would have never liked BL, but now, its just like anyother manga.

Hm...I though I did this. Wait...It was the other guild.
I was intrested in anime and a friend of mine mentioned she had a few DVDs I could borrow. This was in 9th grade. Out of the three anime DVDs (Weiss Kruez, Canidate of the Goddess, and Gravitation) Gravitation was the one that got me really hooked on anime and shounen-ai. I'm going into my senior year in high school and I still fully like anime, manga, Japanese music and I don't care what people say about what I like. I like it because it's out of the ordinary in this city where I live.
I haven't seen to many yaoi/shounen-ai animes. Really only Gravitation I've seen all episodes. Last year though I stumbled upon Ai no Kusabi. I can't remember how. I only have two episodes. My computer takes forever at downloading things. I hate love dial. emo

Yeah, it did. I didn't like it because I'd never really seen any and my overactive imagination took over. Then one day I got curious, read a fanfic and I've been hooked ever since. whee

It was really awkward for me. Now I'm more used to it and it doesn't bother. On a rare occasion though, I find myself feeling uncomfortable though. I guess it also matters on how graphic it is, ne?
