[Discussion] parent's reaction when they saw you liked Yaoi?

My parents might. well they do, but i don't think they know what it is.

I came home from a convention wearing a Yaoi, My anti-drug shirt and my mom just gave me a funny look when she saw it... so i'm not really sure if she knows what it is or not..

that happend to me one time b4 they new what it ment i said it was japanese for cookie im such a genious ^_^

My mom knows I watch Gravitation and Loveless. I told her and my dad about it, leaving out the parts about yaoi. Heh.
My mom thinks it's nasty, so I don't talk about it around her. She doesn't really know, except I've let a comment or two slip.
My dad doesn't know about the yaoi comics I bought(Gravi 1+2, Loveless 1+2). I bought Gravitation with his girlfriend, who didn't check it at all, heehee, but when we went to a concert and two of the guys on stage where making out I was cheering. So he was like "Thats gross" and his girlfriend was like "well you like it when hot girls make out" and he was like "..." so...I guess he sort of knows. xD

Hard to say... My mom watched Yami no Matsuei with me (Yes Muraki did try to kiss Tsuzuki) and all she could ask was which one was the girl? I had to break the news to her that it was two guys. She just said Oh and kept watching.

My dad might flip if he knew though... O_O

Heh, My mum = shocked when she saw some shonen-ai of mine but is fine now, actually I think she's forgotten....o_O;; o well

Dad = found all my old files when fixing the old shared comp (we've all got our own comps now...) him and my ex best friend's dad were like o___O;;;;; they just stared at me...then kept at fixing the comp, they never said another word.

G-ma = Was at her house reading some lurvely Harry Potter slash....she walked in the room, her comp is stone-age slow I tried to minimize the window but it didn't work she leant over my shoulder started reading it an was like "Ohhh............kay........you want some cookies?" and has never mentioned it again.

Actually I think they've mostly forgotten, but they all know I openly accept gay people.

Tho I dunno what would happen if they saw my hard core yaoi....eeeheheheeheee...

When my mom found out she told me it was grose. She said that I was turning into a strange person...she kept shaking her head and looking away

My dad doesn't know, but my mom kind of did. (I'm not sure if she knew that I loved yaoi as much as my dad loves Girls Gone Wild and those motorcycle magazines that are actually porn. But she knew I wrote fan fics about gay people.)

It was quite funny actually. I was writing a KHII fan fic, -an AkuRoku/Soriku- and I had a slight problem. I got writer's block, and asked her what should happen between now and then, and at first she didn't remember the names. So I told her, Axel and Roxas are dating, and so are Sora and Riku. Then she was like "Okay...Which ones are the girls?"

You should've seen the look on her face when I said "Uh, mom...Hate to break it to ya, but they're all gay guys." She went silent. Her suggestion was that they went to church and found out that they were straight, or they went to Fairy Land. But after that she acted totally okay with it and seemed to enjoy when I told her new ideas for the story.

My whole family is Catholic and just think it's funny. Gayliens, they call them, ever since my older cousins found a fanart of Yue i drew, thought he looked funny, and well...yeah.

Even Grandma thinks it's cute (not the yaoi part, the I like Yaoi part)

Well I live with my Grandma and I think she just tries to shove it away.
I walked in Last night actually and I was wearing a shirt that said,
"Oklahomo"
(Yeah I live out there, and no im not a red neck lol)
But yeah I was wearing my OKlahomo shirt and I think my Dad kinda made fun of me waving his hand around like "Oh no you didn't"
ANd such but Im not sure.
He was Drunk.
But me and my friend Fajita always hang out in his car before I leave He's also gay but were like best friends, but my brother went inside and apparenlty my Grandma was like, "Why is he always out there in that car for 10 minutes! what are they talking abou tthat's so important"
But she doesn't say anything to me to my face.
So I guess im kind of lucky.

Well....my ex-step-dad sorta knows. First time I guess he found out I was saving some Gravitation fanart onto the computer and he pops in and starts staring at the screen totally unbeknownst to me until he says: That's quite risque looking.

....I nearly died from embarrassment.

...My mum found because she was going through all the jpg files on the computer and found my stash. Suffice her comment of: At least it's cartoon porn.
Also had me nearly dying from embarrassment. XD

And my sisters also know. One is like: Ewww~ I definitely don't read the stuff!! (even though at one point she had a fanart of Kakashi molesting Sasuke on her myspace. ...wtf.)
Another is like: I ship RikuxSora and Dark LinkxLink~!! (Oh gawd...when I found this out, I was like: Nooooo!!! .....I wanted to corrupt you!! ;^; )
And the other is just clueless. ...Though I don't think she'll mind. xD

And pretty much all my friends know and either like it, or just accept me for the little oddball that I am.

I showed my mom the puppyshipping cover I had on my math binder at the beginning of the school year or something. She was like 'meh, whatever.'
She's also seen my blog and my ff.net page/ read my fanfics and all.
I guess she really doesn't care all that much, it's hart to tell. xDD

I think my dad knows, but he doesn't say anything about it. My mom told him that one of my fanfictions had 'gay themes,' He was kinda like 'meh' too. He hasn't said anything about it so far, and that was last year. ^^

So... I guess my parents know but don't care...
I'm not sure. LOL
