He had acquired a bad headache, and the teens weren't really helping. "God, will someone shut them up?", he said, getting really annoyed, finally heading back to camp after 3 minutes off their loud noise. He wasn't very tolerable when he had a headache, and he didn't want Marie to see him go of again.

Well he obviously wasn't in a good mood. Sighing, she walked back with him to camp. A fire was already going so she sat down beside it, deciding to leave Matt alone for now. Warming her hands up, she pulled her hair back, not mentioning the bear to either of her parents since they would probably want to move camp and she liked it here.

In the tent, he lied in his sleeping bag, waiting for the headache to subside. He had drank some water, and hoped that would kill the ache, or at least put him in a better disposition. After 10 minutes, he walked out and sat by the fire, feeling better.

After about ten minutes or so, Matt came back out. She glanced up at him but didn't say much. It seemed like he was feeling better otherwise he would've have left the tent. Leaning back against a log, she closed her eyes for a second, enjoying the heat of the fire for now.

He looked into the fire, watching. He liked fire, which is ironic as he couldn't stand heat. "I wonder where our parents are?", he asked, noticing that they weren't around.Disregarding the matter, he leaned back into the log.

Marie simply shrugged, not knowing the where their parents were either and at the moment she didn't really care. Her shoulder brushed against his by accident though she didn't give it much thought. Lowering her head for a second, she couldn't help but think if they could be more than just friends.. though she was afraid that something would happen to him.. like in her last relationship.

He didn't really respond when she brushed his shoulder, as he was thinking about other things...mainly the relationship with her. It would be so great if they were together, but he had developed relationship paranoia from his previous relationship, but he could put it aside.

Running her fingers through her hair, she rested her head against the log, wondering what was on his mind and how he could react to it all. Well, she wasn't planning on telling him.. not after the little incident with his ex.

He put his head on his knees, and closed his eyes, appearing asleep. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he wouldn't do it...yet. After he put his ex behind him, then he might do it.

After closing her eyes, she was about to say something when her mother interrupted her. "Are you two hungry?" she asked before pointing over at the picnic table. They were setting up some food for all of them. Marie glanced over at Matt before she got up. "Yeah.. what about you?" she asked nudging him a little.

"A bit." He went to the table and fixed a hamburger, and ate slowly. Once again, they were interrupted when they were having some time alone. Could they not have 5 minutes peace?His face didn't give off any form of emotion, though his anger and disappointment was building.

It didn't seem like they were going to be alone any time soon considering the fact that someone always happened to be there.. even if it was a bear that one time. She fixed herself something to eat as well and it wasn't too long before she was done since she didn't get a whole lot in the first place. She gave Matt a small smile before she got up and said thank you to their parents. Going on a long hike sounded pretty good at the moment and hopefully she wouldn't have to run into the people from the lake.. though it would be nice if Matt came along but she doubted he was up for it.

He saw Marie stand up and walk to a trail. Seeing as he was getting bored, he decided to go with her, where he hoped they could be alone, but he thought that was rather unlikely. Walking up to her, their parents said, "Be back by dark!"

Hearing footsteps behind her, she glanced over her shoulder to see Matt. Smiling she looked back ahead as she walked up the hill. Hearing their parents she laughed, "Alright." she replied before she placed her hands in her pockets. Biting her lower lip, she didn't know what to say to him.. after all it wasn't like she could just blurt out that she liked him. Sighing, she continued to walk, hoping that he would be able to break the ice instead of her.

They had known each other for a while now.. so why couldn't she just say it? Well there were plenty of reasons and it would take a while to list them all. Maybe she should just let it go for now and everything would settle on it's own.. they could just have a fun time now.. and she could worry about everything else later.

They were walking for some time, silence every step of the way. He, like her, also wanted to say that he liked her, but he couldn't, for many reasons. He figured waiting was the best, but he was growing impatient...They reached a tree which they stopped and rested. Picking an apple, he asked if she wanted one.
