Severus sighed. "Half-muggle, remember? Not worthy to serve the Dark Lord? I'm not stupid enough to call a werewolf 'less than human', Remus."

Severus fell silent, staring at the ground. "So, why are you with Lucius? You told me just this afternoon that you loved me, and now you're with him?" Severus didn't care that he sounded exactly like a jealous teenage muggle girl.

"Oh," Severus said softly. "I see. I didn't mean to hurt you, you know. I'm sorry I did." He fell silent again and, after a few minutes, he leaned against Remus, hugging him sadly.

Remus hugged him back. "Sevie I'm so stupid. What am I going to do about Lucius? I know he won't let me just walk away again. Especially since I made him so mad earlier in the Great Hall."

"no i'm like their parent. I scold them. They're like my body guards always trying to make sure nobody hurts me. And since Lucius has a history of hurting me and I was foolish enough to use him they're going to be even more alert."

Remus let go of Severus and stepped away. "I don't want to fight anyone though. i don't want them getting hurt." Besides Remus didn't want to admit it aloud but he liked being taken care of. "And i can defend myself if i need to. i've done it before."

"I don't have to prove anything to you. i'm not killing anyone else." Remus' eyes got wide. "i didn't mean that...I got to go." Remus ran off. He never told anyone about that before.
