Damian hadn’t been expecting to see Ai until he went downstairs to coach him on dancing. So, when Ai glided through his bedroom door, Damian was not only surprised because Ken’s footsteps sounded entirely different in heels and his body was covered in an unfamiliar perfume, but because Ai, in that moment, was the epitome of beauty. Feigning a different sort of surprise, Alexis interjected, “Yes, I am amazed, you can look civil. I will let Mina know that she worked her magic well,” he smiled, very certain that he hadn’t given away, how in awe, he was of Ai’s loveliness. ‘He looks almost as gorgeous as Mother...’ Damian thought for a brief moment before cutting that idea off.
When his mind had returned to the present, Alexis wasn’t prepared for the next words that came out of Ken’s mouth. “You don’t look half bad yourself—” Ai stunned Damian into momentary silence. “I-I... thank you,” Alexis quickly caught himself as he stuttered, regrouping his wits. ‘So he can give a decent compliment too,’ thought Damian pleasantly, ‘I might, as well, rectify my previous ungentlemanly comment.’ “I lied—” Alexis threw out into the still air, “You look more than civil, you look every bit the beautiful, young, lady you are made up to be,” he gallantly finished. He hoped his compliment would be just as surprising and welcome as Ken’s had been, but he doubted it. ‘I really deserve a snide returning comment,’ Damian sighed internally.
Noticing that Ken was searching for a place to sit down, Alexis offered his arm. “Why don’t you sit down here?” he asked as he walked Ai over to the edge of his lusciously, comfy, bed and took a seat himself. “We can sit and discuss your cover story until Seth comes back up the steps for your lessons,” Damian suggested, “That way, we will have the same story down pat. That is especially important considering the company we will be keeping. I will also give you a rundown of the guest list, so that you know which guests to avoid,” he added, “Not all the wealthy are as kind as they are rich.” ‘The first people I am putting on that list are Lady Patricia and Sir Charles,’ Damian thought darkly, ‘They put to shame some of the worst of those I have assassinated.’ ((I'll be busy with college beginning in the next couple of weeks : D Also your avi is especially pretty today~))

((Ah, thank you. Your's is pretty too. smile And don't worry, I'm busy with college as well, so I don't mind the infrequency.))
Having expected such a comment, Ken merely took it as it was and replied, "At lest I clean up pretty well. Otherwise this plan of yours wouldn't really work, now would it?" Thinking about it himself, Ken realized that if he didn't look so good in a dress, he might not have ended up in that situation in the first place.
Glad that he had managed to give his host a little shock, Ken was still surprised at how stunned Alexis seemed. As he was about to give back some snide comment, Alexis took him off guard by retracting his previous comment and giving him a genuine complement. Staring for a moment, Ken could feel himself blushing lightly and managed to say, "Well, thank you. You know, if I hadn't let you drink my blood, you would never even have known I wasn't a girl, so...what did you expect?"
Taking the other boy's arm and sitting on the edge of his gorgeous bed, Ken's heart twitched with jealousy at all of the luxuries Alexis had that he would never know himself. A maid and a butler, all of these expensive clothes, going to banquets, this jewelry, and the enormous fluffy bed...Ken knew he would never be able to live in anywhere even half as nice and hoped more than ever that he would be able to find someone at the upcoming party who would fall in love with him and take him off the streets forever. No matter how much it sounded like an improbable faerie tale, Ken kept his dream sealed tightly in his heart.
Having known that it was coming, Ken nodded and tried to think up something basic enough for them both to remember yet complicated enough to sound true. "Well...I don't really know anything about high society and all that...why don't you just come up with the story and help me memorize it. I'm sure I would just screw something up if I tried to do it myself." Pulling up the edge of one of his silky, arm-length gloves gently, Ken had to remind himself of what a lovely outfit he was wearing. It was so rare for him to have anything on other than his old street clothes that it almost felt like realizing he was in a dream when he came back to the reality around him.
A little surprised that there would actually be people he was expected to stay away from, Ken hoped that Alexis wasn't just trying to keep him away from potential suitors. Even though there was nothing between the two of them, he wouldn't put it past the rich boy to try and foil his attempts at finding love in such a fancy place, just to keep their cover. Regardless of his intentions, Ken would use his own judgement when it came to handsome young men asking him to dance. He had no interested in women or older people, so he would do his best to listen to Alexis about them, but he wasn't prepared to be completely faithful to his host just yet. After all, when the night was done and the sun rose, where would he be? Ken knew he wouldn't be much use to Alexis for long, so there was a rather narrow window of opportunity.

((My brain has sort of died... I'm having writers block when it comes to this rp. I'm sorry. I'll post as soon as I think of something to write. I remember that I had somewhere I was going & I think that I lost it along the way while finishing homework one late night.))
