Jen raised an eyebrow. "That," Alice said before Jen got a chance, "is the point. We take notes and we study on a daily basis. If you get decent marks and only remember what's taught in class, imagine the marks you could get if you actually studied." "I thought you were a seeker," Jen inputed when Alice finished.

"Yeah I'm told that quite abit. But it's just so boring and I'd rather try my hardest to lead Gryffindor to the Quidditch cup. And no I'm a chaser."

(~sigh~ Just another thing in a long list of things they screwed up in the movies. That's why I hate movies based off books. I've only found two that I like that follow the book accurately or is better than the movie.)
Alice grinned. "What do you think, Jen? Does he get the best friends' stamp of approval?" Lily looked at her friends with anxiety. Alice was right when she said that nothing either she or Jen said would change her mind, but she did want her friends' approval.

James was nervous too. He didn't want Lily's friends hating him. He sliped his hand on top of Lily's lacing their fingers together.

(Never Ending Story and Howl's Moving Castle. Never Ending Story is better than the book and Howl's Moving Castle follows the book well enough.)
Jen smiled and nodded. "I suppose. There are things he might have to change to handle being her boyfriend, but yeah. He gets my stamp of approval. How about you, Alice?" Alice thought for a minute, then nodded. "Yup. Give us your hand, James."

(Then i never have to read Never ending story. Bridge to Terribithia does a good job too. And from what i've read of Memories of a Geisha it does a good job of following.)
James raised an eyebrow. "Why do you need my hand?" But he gave it to them anyways.

(Meh. Bridge to Terabithia's acting was too forced for me. I haven't seen or read Memoirs of a Geisha.)
Alice didn't answer, but instead took out her wand and held it over James's hand, muttering a spell. After she finished, Jen took his hand and did the same. "There," she chirped. "The official stamp of approval. It's a simple spell Alice, Lily, and I came up with to show that we gave our approvals for each other's boyfriends. It'll wear off eventually."

"Words are superficial, James. This is proof that we gave our approval. In the same manner, you should find a way to show that you are serious about Lily." Lily's head was bowed so far that her hair completely obscured her face. "You guys, cut it out. You're embarrassing me."

James brushed the hair out of Lily's face. "You shouldn't hide your face. It robs the world of your beauty." James wanted to think of what he could do to prove to Lily and her friends that he really did love her.

Lily's face turned a brighter shade of red. "Um... I have to go... Prefect duty. You should all get to class." She stood and started to hurry away, feeling like she was going to die of embarrassment.

James started going after her but Remus stopped him.
"I'll go see what's wrong." Remus went out and found Lily. "What happened?"

"To late. Did you really think I wasn't going to come and see what was wrong?" He walked over and hugged Lily. "Lily they were fine. They're just looking out for you."

LIly looked at him for a minute, then grinned at him. "They were testing you, you know. We Ravenclaws are known for riddles. By coming after me, you gave them exactly what they were looking for."
