cute lolcat pics! We adopted a "Katrina" cat. He's a lilac-tipped Siamese mix and loves to hide in boxes. He is around 8 yrs old, so he qualifies as a Geezer, too! xd

Yeah, I have nothing to say about cats. But I figure that's Okay, since this is decidedly the spot for randomness.

one of my cats brought me a live mouse last night and then dropped it in the den -- watching it scurry around. Hate to admit this but it was a real cutie! If I had been less of a chicken and more humane I would have caught it and released it back into the yard. Instead it became intimately involved with the heel of a work boot with me saying 'I'm sorry' over and over. At which point the cat grabs it again and runs back outside with it. GEEZ! stare confused coulda saved a bunch of time and squeeks (mine not the mouse's) if he had kept the dang thing out there to begin with!

I have had 2 mice behind my desk just lately and a bunny rabbit... My son's cat brought in a squirl that was almost as big as him once.

I just found a turtle dove my cat caught. It was still alive. I took it to a local woman who takes care of wildlife.

My Mouf (cat by trade) has brought mice (dead and alive),live dove, dead mockingbird, live squirrels, dead (about 3 pounds - it was HUGE) squirrels, grasshoppers the size of my fist, lizards (two varieties), snakes, palmetto bugs (huge roaches for those not in the know) and untold numbers of flying cicadas.
He has only lived here for about 4 months, I think he is trying to pay his rent when he brings stuff. I hate it when he drops them in my bed in the middle of the night....I CAN scream like a little girl when required!

Dogs do the same thing.
Be happy! Your cat is showing his love!

My cat got godfather on my a** and left the head of a mouse laying beside my pillow for me to find in the morning...
Still not happy with that event.

I live in an apartment, so my two cats don't go outside. I think it's made them a little... odd? Each of them has his own obsession that kind of drives me crazy.
Toulouse (HUGE cream-point himalayan) loves tape, plastic and adhesives. I can't leave tape anywhere he can get to it because he eats it. He'll gnaw off pieces of clear plastic too (like the stuff around the opening of a tissue box, for example).
Mucha (an enormous bob-tailed tabby) gets frantic when I'm in the bathroom. I'll admit that I take a book in there with me sometimes (a long-standing habit from when I lived with my parents and would have to share hotel rooms with them). Mucha will pick at the bottom of the door, try to turn the door handle, cry continuously, shove his paws under the door...
And sometimes, they'll both start beating the s**t out of each other right outside. Toulouse will body-slam Mucha INTO the door. It's really loud, and the first time it happened, I thought someone was actually breaking into my apartment it was so loud. I was terrified.
They're annoying sometimes, but I love them!
Behold! The hairy beast! And The Nub! PS Conan, I love everything about your sig! whee
