And Haku, the kid asked my dad for cigs. My dad was just being polite and giving him some.
The plain and simple fact is that your father slipped up. Being polite or not, someone in his position should have the foresight to develop their own opinion and rationalize. If that was your father's best rationalization, then he deserves what happened to him. It's obvious that the kid - and by association the mother - are ********. If you take away the bottle of a kid who is ******** in the head, prepare for the repercussions. Your father simply wasn't prepared.
