Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Alex pouted playfully. "C'mon, you know that I'm more comforatable than that pillow." He smiled and lied down on the bed next to her.

She smiled wickedly. "Show me how much more comfortable you are." She giggled and snuggled the pillow more. Eva loved to tease him.

Alex blinked and looked at her. "How am I supposed to do that?" He asked her.

Eva rolled her eyes and threw the pillow aside. She took off his shirt and then kissed him. "Like that." She told him and then went in the closet. She changed into her pajamas and then crawled back in bed. Eva wrapped her arms around him and then sighed. "Much better."

"Oh, okay then." Alex said, laughing a bit. He watched her go to the closet then come back. When she came back he pulled the covers over them and wrapped his arms around her waist. "I'm sure it is." He smiled and kissed her softly.

Her eyes grew heavier as she lied next to him. Slowly, she drifted off to sleep in his arms. The little girl danced in her dreams as Eva slept.

Eva walked in the children's bedroom. It was about three in the morning and Alex was asleep in the rocking chair with a little baby girl in his lap. Amelia was a few months old. Both were sound asleep. Eva gently picked up Amelia and placed her in her bed. Alex woke up and wrapped his arms around Eva. He kissed her neck. "Come on." He whispered in her ear. "Let's go back to sleep." Eva nodded and they went back to bed.

"Alex." She whispered unconsciously.

Alex wasn't too tired as he lied on the bed with Eva. He heard her whisper and smiled. "Yes Eva?" He asked her softly.

The next morning, Alex was not in bed. Eva found him down in the kitchen. Amelia was already in her baby chair and playing with Riley while Alex made breakfast. Eva leaned against the door frame and folded her arms. "We're cooking breakfast?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. Alex turned around and smiled at her.

"Good morning to you too, my love. And yes I am making breakfast. Or at least attempting too." Eva giggled and sat in the chair next to Amelia. She looked up at her mother and raised her hands in the air. Eva smiled and picked up her daughter.

"Good morning, precious." She smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Don't burn the house down." Eva sighed as she snuggled closer to Alex, still asleep.

Alex laughed softly as he listened to Eva. She must be having a dream, he thought to himself. He decided to play along with her. "C'mon honey, you know I'm a decent cook." He smiled and brushed some hair out of her face.

"MmmHmm." She said sarcastically in a whisper.

"We'll see about that." Eva told Alex. He laughed and finished cooking their breakfast. He placed a plate in front of her and a bowl of cereal in front of Amelia who was now back in her baby seat. She ate her food while Eva looked at the nice looking food and then back at Alex. "I'm impressed." She said and Alex kissed the top of her head before sitting next to her.

"I knew you would be." They ate their breakfast and Amelia had fun with hers. Suddenly the door burst open and Mike stormed in grabbed Amelia before running back out.

"AMELIA!!" Eva shouted as she run after them. Mike disappeared in the distance and Eva was left by herself. Alex was gone. Mike and Amelia were gone. It was just her in the woods. Eva heard the bushes moving until Mike popped out with Amelia's head on a stick.

Eva sat up panting. She covered her face and tried to pull herself together before trying to go back to sleep.
That's not going to happen. She thought. Everything is ok. Eva tried to reassure herself.

Alex jumped when she sat up. He was having fun with her up until that point. He looked at her with a worried expression. "Eva, love, is everything okay?" He asked her quietly as he held her even tighter.

Eva looked up at Alex and nodded. She smiled and kissed him quickly. "Yes, everything is fine. It was just a nightmare that can't come true." She snuggled closer to him. "Let's just go back to sleep."

Alex nodded slowly. "If you say so." He smiled softly and kissed her back. He looked at her lovingly for a few moments before closing his eyes and drifting off too a peaceful sleep.

Eva went back to sleep but didn't dream of Mike again. When she woke up the sun was shining but she wasn't looking at Alex. She felt an arm draped around her waist. Eva smiled at Alex's warmth against her.

Alex was smiling softly as he snored. The sunlight didn't even seem to bother him at all. He rolled onto his back and his arm came off her and flopped onto the bed.
