Crash bit his tongue. At the last moment both his hands struck out and caught the ball in midair above his head. Ha, ha! He grinned as he relaxed his posture. Crash tossed the red quaffle back and forth between his hands. Eyes had lingered while he searched for an open chaser. Caitlin was the closest, and he called out to her as he tossed the ball her way back into the game. Hopefully, they'll make it through for a score for their team.

Caitlin looked up when her name was called. Quickly, she shot forward and snatched the quaffle from the air and turned, speeding her way down the pitch, maybe she could score again.

Tanya had a moment of disorientation as a bludger headed towards her again only to be saved at the last minute by Ronna. With a grin and a promise to make the older girl something nice in the following days she sped off behind the other chasers and managed to see Xavier shot only to be stopped by the Crash. She sighed good-naturedly but saw an opening as he threw the quaffle towards Caitlin so she swooped down in an attempt to steal the quaffle back.

Cameron had missed Xavier yet again, so the boy decided he'd test his luck on one of the younger players. With a swing at an oncoming bludger, the seventh year aimed for Tanya.

Ronna knew she had to play it safe at this point and was hanging back some, but she had decided to stay in the game by only going to make attempts at blocking bludgers she knew where going to hit one of her teammates. She groaned when Cameron aimed at Tanya and hit one towards her. It was on a straight course towards her and Ronna had taken enough of Cameron's bludger hits to know how bad they hurt. She really hoped she could just not over exhaust herself and end up getting grounded by that one hit she was away from. And while she made the attempt at blocking the bludger she fully intended to send it back to Cameron.

{OOC: Just an FYI, I was informed a couple days ago that with blocks the blocks are the roll with your hitting mods, so in Ronnas case it would be 14+2 making 16 a safe block... of course since it is the same AC as Cameron's as I have read the rules Cameron would be safe. Well, that throw seemed weak by the way Crash easily caught it. Then the keeper passed Caitlin the ball. And then Tanya went for a steal.And once again, she was close to getting it. But she didn't. Then a bludger came speeding towards her. The fifth year thought it was too late, but no. Before it could even hit Tanya, Ronna blocked it and saved her. Xavier sucked a breath at that. "Nice job Ronna," he grinned at the third year. He then faced the direction towards the seventh year that currently has the quaffle. Clenching his jaw, he chased after Caitlin and tried to snatch the quaffle away.

Caitlin pushed her broom faster. She dodge Tanya, then Xavier, but she wasn't sure how many more she could dodge. Cait looked around for Leo, if it came to it, she'd toss it to her.

Mostly lucky? Nah, I saved Tanya from a hit, that's what is important.

Ronna gasped for breath as she managed to hit the bludger away from it's intended target-Tanya- and heard Xavier call out 'nice job' to her. She still gasping for breath looked to follow the path of the bludger. She had intended to redirect and hit Cameron while saving Tanya but noted that her aim was off in her exhaustion and desperation for the save and the bludger merely flew past Cameron. She took a deep sigh of relief and couldn't help but smile a little-her real objective was to block the bludger anyways and she managed to do that. It might have been nice to have hit Cameron in the process, but the most important thing-saving her teammate- had been accomplished.

Honestly it was surprising she had managed to even make the save considering how bad her hip was throbbing and her lungs burned. She had been pushing herself, a lot, and it was catching up with her more and more. And, of course, there was the fact she had gotten off the ground with two pretty severe bludger hits and an additional one right after they healed and end up hitting herself twice with a bludger right after that. Actually the only one who held the record for hitting her as many times with a bludger during try-outs as herself was Cameron if she thought about it.

As she raised up to the outskirts of the field waiting for her next move-which would only be to attempt to save someone on her team at this point-she smiled. Regardless of whatever happened in the end with try-outs she could know she put in a good effort and had a really good showing for her effort. Hell, she blocked 3 bludgers, and she had never blocked a bludger in her life before!

Tanya was unsurprisingly impressed with Caitlin as she dodged not just her but also Xavier. And she had managed to score earlier as well! In the back of her mind she wondered if the older girl would be willing to give pointers or even practice with her later but right now she needed to get the quaffle back! So she flew faster trying to keep up and stretched out a hand to steal.
