Tess A Tigre Speaking of random: Anyone going to be effected by Gustov? (That is a hurricane in case the newspaper missed your rock this AM) We are in southern Texas, I expect we will get some wonderful storms from it, we are about 2½ hours in from the gulf. I was watching it turned yesterday to a cat 3, this morning it turned to cat 4... they are expecting it to reach 5.

Sorry, Marisol, it turned into Sunday morning! I am watching Gustov to make sure he doesn't take a slightly right header (I live in the Florida Panhandle). We are already getting some outter bands of winds, rain and general nasty crap from this guy. Sure wouldn't want to be in Nawlins when this bad boy hits! De lebbies will be gone again!

lil brat looks so cool...
I live in Puerto Rico, and we have the luck that storms turn into tropical storms and hurricanes the second they pass us, so we're always safe.

I'm too far inland to have to worry about hurricanes.
All Kansas gets is that ice storm that knocked out power for about a week (if you lived in town) back in January, the hail storm we got the first week of June (luckily, I was NOT in town at the time), and the tornado that hit Chapman the following week. Oh, there was Greensburg that got hit by a powerful tornado last year and that massive flood we had back in 1993.

She does have an awesome look doesn't she! Very dark and smexy! I live in Oklahoma and our weather has been weird this year. It rained so much this spring that we needed no more rain to be on level for the rest of the year. We only had 2 weeks worth of 100 degree weather instead of 2 months of it. I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong, I preferr 80-90 degree weather but it is so strange.

I chalking it up to the almost "5 Minute Weather" we have here in the midwest. 5 Minute Weather = Don't like the current conditions, wait five minutes and it'll change.

I'm too far inland (north) to be hit with hurricanes. We just get some of the storm fronts as a result of them.

Hurricanes? Oh dear. We haven't had one since...well...we haven't had one... Do be careful... Mother Nature tends to get angry lately. I don't blame her though...

I'm a west coaster so the hurricanes over here aren't nearly as nasty. Sucks for New Orleans though. I've always wanted to go there but by the time I get the chance there won't be any city left.
