"Not a problem, love." Iago whispered softly. He stepped slowly across the dancefloor, pressed close to his Evie. He looked right into her eyes as they danced, a soft smile on his face.

εviε Evie smiled at Iago's gentle words and allowed him to lead her around the dancefloor. The pair were pressed close together and the air held an element of romance. She couldn't help but look up at Iago, into his piercing eyes and kiss him once, gently on the lips before resting her head on his chest.

Iago held his Evie for a good long time while the song played, the two of them just swaying together. When it ended, he put a hand softly on her chin, lifted it gently, and gave her a kiss on the lips.
"Thank you." he whispered.

εviε Evie smiled against Iago's lips as he kissed her. She knew he would but wasn't ready for it when he had been. Still, she wouldn't pass an oportunity to kiss him. Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck and she hugged him tightly, her body pressed close to his.
"I should be thanking you love." Evie whispered quietly into his ear, then moved her lips away from his ear to gently place a kiss on Iago's neck.

Iago smiled when she kissed him on the neck. "How about we get a drink before going to the palace?" he asked, a bit of a mischievous smile on his face. He wondered if she'd ever had ale before...

"What are you planning love? You known I've never touched alcohol before right?" Evie felt a little embarrassed for admitting it but it was the truth.

Iago grinned mischievously, and took her hand. "Excellent." he said, leading her out of the room into the tavern proper. "I think you'll like it...just one drink though, so you can feel a bit of a buzz but not be totally drunk." he said, ordering two mugs of relatively weak ale and heading to a table after he paid.

εviε Evie narrowed her eyes at Ishi and had been about to say something to him when he led her out of the dance parlor and into the tavern. She eyes the mugs in Iago's hand a bit nervously.
"If you try anything funny....." Evie didn't even know what she would have done....but it wouldn't have been pleasant.
Evie and Iago took a seat at a small table. The girl wrapped her hand around the handle of the mug and lifted it up so she could smell it. It seemed okay....not that she'd know otherwise.

Iago smiled sincerely at her. "Evie...be realistic here. Would I do anything to hurt you?" he asked. "I even got some of the weaker stuff to start you off." he said. He took a sip of his drink. He hadn't had alcohol in a long time, so the slight sensation of cheerfulness that came from even a small sip came, but faded very quickly.

εviε "Who knows what could happen once I've taken a swig of this stuff." Evie replied ominously.
Unlike Iago who first took a sip, Evie tool a big gulp and instantly regretted it. She had to swallow or choke but she got it down and coughed, her hand raised up to cover her mouth. It tasted odd, something she hadn't tried before but it wasn't all that bad.

"You okay?" Iago asked, chuckling. "Sip it, Evie." he added, a late warning. "So. How do you like it?" he asked with a mischievous grin, taking another sip of his ale.

εviε Evie smiled, feeling her cheeks warm up due to embarrassment as well as from the effects of the ale. She must have been truly a lightweight. The girl looked at Iago with narrowed eyes and pursed her lips.
"Thanks for warning me AFTER I practically die from this stuff...had that not been the case then maybe I'd like it better." Evie dropped the act and smiled behind her mug before she took another sip.

εviε Evie smiled and put her faith into Iago. She took another sip, longer this time and felt the effects of it all. There was a slight dizzying feeling about her and things didn't look quite as clear as they'd once been.
"Am I that much of a lightweight?" Evie chuckled and started giggling shortly after.

Iago chuckled. "It's your first time. Everyone's a lightweight their first time." he assured her, and finished what was left of his drink. There was a tiny blurriness to his vision and he felt a bit giddy.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
