I was never against yaoi. In fact, when I first found fanfiction the first pairing I read was Hiei/Kurama. When I saw that well... my only thought was "they're so perfect for each other". Now... when I watch a show of any kind I'm always half hoping two of the guys will go for each other. xd heart heart heart

i could describe mine as a gradual and sneaky conversion courtesy of my female friends who are rabidlyobsessing over yaois and BLs.
as far as i remember, not really. or rather, im just apathetic on the whole thing. but gays scare me too when i was younger. not to mention i was hentai's biggest fan *shrugs* then a female friend hand me a fanfic and said "read this" and i keep on saying WTF! on almost everything. i got weirded out, and at some point disgusted.
but im a sucker of good art. its what made me hoard every hentai animes at my time and they.. so to say feed the fire more (the other way) and when they show me a yami no matsuei artbook. gawd... ******** those artworks. >,<
so, i got used to it. lol. i cant remember the point when i started to think that its hot though.

I don't ever remember being against Yaoi....I didn't really know what it is before high school. I actually don't even remember how I got into Yaoi, honestly....my guess is that, like many of you, I discovered it when browsing for fanfiction and fanart/screenshots for various animes back in "innocent years." surprised
But no, I don't think I was ever against it...just woefully unaware. Thankfully, that tragedy has been rectified.

Well about 2 years ago I was completely homophobic. Then I met my friend and she slowly eased me into the fangirl world. I liked shounen-ai first then it got worse >_>

First time I ever laid my eyes on it I thought it was repulsive and disgusting who'd ever want to see do or hear of such a thing, then my personality started changing I started thinking outside the box , so then I started of reading some shounen ai it was very good the first shounen ai i ever read was dn angel and I really like how everything was so worked out so when i was looking for more shounen ai ,yaoi came to mine so i searched for that and since then yaoi is one of my favorite things in the world heart

For me, at least before high school, it wasn't so much of being against it as being nearly completely oblivious. Oo I don't remember Yaoi before high school...nor Yuri.
But, I guess what happened was that I got gradually introduced to it, the more I begun to hang out with new people(the other Otaku of the school) who have to this day become my 'peeps'. however, I've always had a considerably open mind, so I never thought of it as repulsive or anything like that. I remember a few years ago, though, when me and my friend were going on a major Fruits Basket binge(this was back somewhere in the Early 2005 era) and I went over to the computer to search madly for FB pics, and lo and behold, Google brought up a picture of Shigure and Kyo. That wasn't so bad, til we found something that was Yuki-Kyo! Not that we were disgusted at the fact that it was guy on guy, or anything like that, but just from the two of them's personality, you know with those two hating eachother, we got a little wierded out. It actually turns out, that as the series itself went on, and after I really gave the pairing a chance, it has become one of my favorites!
Then, one time when we had a sleepover, she brought over some brand new Yaoi books, and she got me hooked! ^^
