my parents dont know, cant know, and will never know!!

ha same with my parents... they have no idea i'm looking at/reading yaoi topics

I popped the subject to my parents yesterday or something, as I've ordered quite some boys love mangas, lol, and they will ask about it. But I told them in a jokingly manner and my dad thinks it's weird ("what's that for nonsense? Gayromance? Well.. whatever" (truth is, I highly dislike romances, except guy-guy ones, so yeah, I understand that people think I'm weird on this), but they really don't care. ^_^ I'm 19 years, so I guess that helps a bit, but I'm sure they wouldn't really mind even if I were 13..

But I try not to watch/read it with chances of someone entering the room though, which means I can only watch at night. sweatdrop I don't watch the hardcore stuff, but an occasional scene might occur, lol (even though it's just a suggestive scene and nothing more), and I really don't want them to think weird stuff about me. That, and most important, I can't focus on the anime (or whatever kind movie, or book (manga or whatever)) when someone's around that's not watching too.


Though I'll admit hat I never told them about my sexual preference (bi, lol), even though I'm sure they'll be cool with it (sidenote: any advice on this highly appreciated (PM me, lol)).




Wow, that's really amazing. Such parents are, in my experience, rare, lol. ^_^ My parents may be very open-minded and have the whatever-attitude, but they'll never buy something out of the blue for me when they think it's kinda odd. They aren't very supportive in stuff too, whether or not they think it's weird.. Maybe their whatever-attitude is a bit overdone, lol. I don't really care though. But you're lucky. 3nodding

My sister and I read yaoi but we don't really tell our parents that we do. They know it's just that they dont' know how bad it can be sometimes...

My whole family knows about it, my mum can't see the attraction of it but she's totally cool with it. My dad thinks it's weird with a capital W, but he's never minded me reading/watching it. I love telling him which is the main slash couple in his fave TV shows (eg. McKay/Sheppard in Stargate Atlantis) to annoy him. Apparently things like that don't happen in a.) space, b.) the future, and c.) the police force! Lol.
