Hannah turned away from the boy a little too slow and Raiden smiled slyly, “Ooh, some’s got a crush.” She whispered, but Hannah was already flying… Oh my God she was flying! Raiden’s eyes widened, wow this girl was literally levitating in the air. “Whoa, that’s awesome Hannah!” She shouted enthusiastically.
Raiden quickly shook the stupid look off her face; she needed to seem more professional. She couldn’t let the others think that she was no competition from her lack of experience, but everyone around her seemed to know what they were doing. The clipboard was unexpectedly shoved into her hands; she hastily filled out her information in a slight panic.
NAME: Raiden Oakwood
YEAR: 1st
POSTION OF CHOICE: Keeper
BACK-UP POSITION DESIRED: Seeker
PREVIOUS QUIDDITCH EXPERIENCE: None, but I have played soccer quiet a bit and I’ve had extensive experience as the goalie (Which is kind of like a Keeper)
She added the slight footnote just in case the Team Captain didn’t know what soccer was. She certainly didn’t want to belittle him, but she’d heard plenty of wizards calling it a “Muggle Sport” on the train ride over. Well belittling the Team captain certainly would be difficult Raiden realized, he was quiet a bit taller than she was.
She passed the clipboard onwards, but couldn’t help but notice that one of the twins had put Keeper down as well for a desired position. Her heart palpated more quickly in her chest, he had six years of experience. Raiden certainly didn’t know if she had a natural gift or not, but gift hardly ever won over to experience.

With a quiet sigh, he scanned the application, including the note scribbled at the bottom. Thoughts of their first day back to school flooded his mind, but the Gryffindor made a quick effort to push them out and replace them with his current distraction.
"Alright everyone, listen up!" he called loudly after blowing the whistle that hung leisurely around his muscular neck. When all of the students had gathered around him, he instructed them on what to do. "We are currently in need of a keeper, a seeker, and a beater, so those are the positions I will primarily be looking for. While there is a chance that you may beat out another current member for their filled position, I would recommend focusing on the positions that we have open." As he spoke, Colt bent down and opened the trunk of balls. After a moment of deliberation, he withdrew the golden snitch and a quaffle.
"Alright, for all of you who are interested in the keeper position, you each have three tries to keep Jayden here from scoring in the goal. Meanwhile, I will soon be releasing a bludger, and those of you who would like the beater position may try to keep their teammates from being hit by it. And finally, if you would like to be seeker, you have three attempts to catch this snitch here. Feel free to try out for any or all of the positions, and remember that try-outs are not pass or fail. I will be judging more than just your ability to complete the task, such how capable you are of learning each position. Now, grab the equipment you will need for whichever position you are seeking, and get in the air and show me what you've got!" Colton's deep voice echoed out over the pitch as he released the quaffle and snitch, then waited a moment before unleashing the crazed bludger. With a mixture of motions, he stood in the center of the field and watched as try-outs unraveled. EDIT: [[OOC: Feel free to start at any time. Just choose to roll ten 10-sided dice in your post each time you roleplay your character blocking, hitting, or catching one of the balls. Your first post should describe their attempt, and the second post should mention something about whether or not they hit/blocked/caught the ball, and then describe their next attempt. Refer to the How to Play in the Guild section in this thread to figure out which numbers you need to roll. As the boy swung at the bludger, he was surprised at the smooth technique, and even more surprise when the swing just barely missed the dancing ball. Nodding to himself, he scribbled a few words onto the bottom of the sign-up sheet before returning his attention to the sky.
In her hurry to fight back, the opposing girl—Hannah, according to the clipboard—put all her heart into her own swing, clearly in her element. Colton smiled as the first year managed to hit the ball on her first try. However, he cringed as she then aimed the bludger at her opponent, and, in missing the ball, accidentally hit herself.
"You alright, mate?" Colton called up into the air, a bit of worry saturating his deep voice. The girl seemed to be just a bit shaken up, but not only did he not want to offend her, but he also didn't want to ruin her try-outs, either. Nevertheless, he would easily offer Jayden as an escort to the hospital wing if she asked, which would perhaps allow him an escape from having to talk to her.
